When They're Drunk... Is there truth to the things they say?

But sometimes I don't lie when I'm drunk and sometimes being drunk can actually push me to be quite truthful. However, I'd have to say that most people get quite rosy when they get drunk and everything they say (usually) has a rosier, friendlier touch to it. Unless that person is known to be a violent/angry drunk, I would have to say that there is an exaggerated edge to most things drunkards say.

i think it's not so much the words that are truthful of a drunk person as much as one's persona. people are loose when drunk. they are more reactive and proactive. inner tendencies will come out, and people will act upon those instincts. what those people say may be truth, or may not be. those are taken case by case

This is not the drink talking. I love you. I don't know what I'd do without you.
I'm just saying he was being truthful. ;] But yeah I've came out with some sh!t in my time, under the influence, but also 80% my mouth just spills the truth out.
I told my friend exactly what I thought of him...
"You're a great man. You'll go far. You'll go very far. Live long and prosper!"
and I believe he is, and will. XD
Depends on the person, really.

haha when someone is drunk the chemicals make their way up to the brain
and they get all mixed up in their. Then they lose the sence in your brain
to shut the hell up. In other words self control. Thats why drunk people do crazy things.
Same goes when the drunk person is speaking.
Their is a scientific way to explain it but im not Einstein here LOL.

Like dating final fantasy chicks and night elves.
Which I suppose is the truth.

and tell me how many parts of that were vague or untrue.
o_O' what comes into your mind isn't necessarily true... i could think that the sea is red for one second.
being drunk could probably make me blurt it out.
but hey.. i don't plan on touching the stuff. that's just my theory on what lands i haven't stepped on.

So I guess there's a series of variables as to whether truth can be construde from drunken inane ramblings. In other words, it all depends really.

Well I was wondering if it's the same when people are high...?
This girl after smoking something (reeked) came up to me at this party (that she and her friends kind of clumsily crashed) and was like "damn you, you're so fuc*king pretty! I hate you... Want some munchies?" (referring to who knows what.)
dennis ohhhhh!
recycled ; hey mister guy! ; untitled ; [short.story] for the world ;

And times when I say the truth as well.
It ALL DEPENDS! Predicting whether someone's lying or not when he/she is drunk is as hard as when they're sober. Alcohol does not influence people's truth-telling factor.
