my question is: do a lot of teens have this problem too or do you think i have some type of mood/personality disorder?

I remember this happening to me especially during my junior high years
but, like you said, it's a phase that most teenagers go through with their hormones
I personally believe that most mood/personality "disorders" can be fixed by the person himself
only the he can control how he feels and reacts to certain situations
don't let your emotions get the best of you!

I was exactly the same way...mainly in my early high school years.
I'm almost 21 now.....and I definitely can say that I don't have that problem anymore. I mean, everyone goes through those emotional ups and downs, but it's nothing like how it was when I was a teen

Perfectly normal, a few years and it'll start to fade until you realize it's not even a problem anymore, because it won't be happening.

I know I haven't got a mood/personality disorder but I wouldn't dismiss those things so easily just in case.
I remember reading somewhere that when you're a teenager, it's like your brain's still making connections, we're not developed yet, which is why we go through mood swings, bad decisions etc.

Sometimes I'm like: GOSH why is life so rather infelicitous, why am I so darn ugly, why am I so miserable etc.
and sometimes I'm like: GOSH why is life so beautiful, I look so lovely, I'm soooo happy yeah yeah
candy, honey and money.

thanks for all the replies!
i guess i'll help myself by trying to think things through clearly before i just blow up into a fit of bad emotions.
actually that's what i should do in the first place! >_<
i know but it's hard when you make stupid decisions right in the heat of the moment.
