I'm new to Korean Music, so I'm not to sure about what a DaeSang is, but seeing as how on the list only Wonder Girls winned it, I'm guessing It's REALLLY big (Maybe like Korean Grammy?). This is so awesome

Wahh, I'm so proud of them for receiving such a big award! Though really, it's so believable... WG totally deserved it, Nobody really was the song of 2008. Their speeches brought tears into my eyes.

Congratulations again to our lovely five! Triple threat!

littlesharkdude - 대상 translates into top award. It's 'best' award in the ceremony. :] It usually goes 대상 (Best/Of the Year), 최우수상 (Top Excellence), 우수상 (Excellence), then Netizen.

CONGRATS WONDER GIRLS!!!

I cried so hard when I found out Wonder Girls won the 'Daesang' Award. Even though I was cheering for them, I had a slight doubt because of the polls and they were against big competitors. I'm just sooo happy for them right now.
I cried even harder when I watched their speech. Lol, Ye Eun was so cute cuz she didn't know wat to do.....

They've been working so hard in 2008, i'm glad they won the daesang.
I think someone mentioned it but, are they the first girl group to recieve a daesang?

wow wonder girls are really amazing <3 they won so many big awards after debuting for only 2 years
i loved thier speeches ^^ esp the thank yous and i was urprised when yoobin cried cause she was all smiley before she said her speech
and it was nice that they all got to say something =D

I agree with andsharonx it should be in the order of the fan chant ^^ love sohee's profile thing tho =D but sunye's is kinda plain? =/ hers should be fancified xD
but it looks good overall~ great job

DaeSang usually means the grand award of a certain award ceremony.

AWW YeEun speech was soooooooo cute!!!
Sunye is such a respectful leader, how she always bow in 90 degree.
Yoobin tried to stay strong but she shed tears when she said thanks

I cried during their speeches... Their speeches, their performance, their
crying faces, modesty, thankfulness, just seeing them being on a honorable
stage with three big awards just made me tear.

Oh my gosh .. I'm just speechless right now .. I knew that 2009 was definetly was going to be another wonder year but I didn't know that it was going to start off this good. 3 awards, including DAESANG and to think that they're the only ones that got it this time around ... I'm really proud of our 5 wonderful girls. Congratulations, congratulations. They deserve the best and only better. I love how they mentioned WonderFuls like 50923049 times because during MKMF they didn't so .. yeah. hehe. And that was so sweet what Sunye said about HwaYoung.
