Members of the Wonder Girls said that they are still in a state of dizziness at the interview after receiving the Daesang Award. － Within 2 years after the debut in Febuary 2007, Wonder Girls rised to the top. Have you expected it to be so fast?
In our debut year, we were determined to work hard when we received the Rookie of the Year Award. We didn't thought even in our dreams that we would receive the Daesang this quickly. We think that staff and members in our company and so forth have been working hard supporting us with a strong strength.

Maybe its the strength of the people. (Laughs) We will never get this award merely by the strength of our five members. Members of our company and fellow staff have the biggest credits. It seems like the charm of Wonder Girls is that we are like sisters next-door and each personalities of the 5 members emerged on stage.

The respective concerts will start this month on the 28th in Thailand, on the 5th, 6th and 8th of next month in the US, 21st in Busan and 28th in Seoul. We want to focus first on the concerts. Then our activities will be working hard to prepare and release our new album.

I dont know if anyone here has heard but there are petitions going around asking either for them to return the award or asking the people at the Seoul Music Awards to come out and announce why the Wonder girls were chosen. Most of these people are fans of other idol groups so it makes sense. I just wanted to say that these people are not saying that wg doesnt deserve it, but the fact that they did not sell that many albums is a problem. I believe album sales accounts for 50% of the judging but they didnt sell as many as others.

Those people make me laugh and are ridiculous.... just because physical sales weren't strong doesnt mean that digital sales were bad, if JYP wasnt making any profit that could rival physical album sales, he would have focused on selling the albums more, but he isnt... so the girls do deserve those awards, and i remember that just on cyworld alone each song(So Hot and Nobody) sold about 500,000+ units, EACH SONG, not altogether or both songs combined, both songs made it on the top 5 as well as digital downloads, and that was JUST Cyworld, imagine Melon or other sites that distribute the music as well, such as Amazon and Itunes, these people are ridiculous and need to get over themselves just because their oppa's didnt win all the awards of the show... instead those fangirls need to be proud that a female group is reppin them at the TOP...

Sorry to cut your post but the girls weren't the only group to have two back to back hits. BB were as well (Haru Haru + Sunset Glow) and if all of Asia was going to be included, DBSK managed to top charts about four times as well.

It IS ridiculous how they're asking for the award to be taken back. Don't they think that the judges were discussed over who was going to win the most prestigious award of the night? Daesungs are not only album sales. Daesungs are more like Artist of the Year award.... they are handed out to singers who dominated that year. I could use Hyori and DBSK as examples. They sweeped the top awards just like the girls did because they were at the top. Although it's debateable on whether BB or WG dominated 2008 but I'm sure Wonderfuls and VIPs don't really mind Wonder Girls were EVERYWHERE in 2008 and therefore, in my opinion, deserve their awards.

its because it was a show aired by SBS and if they find out they will want it to be removed off of YouTube

Haha, I never noticed this before, but Yoobin actually takes Yeeun's, and Sunye takes Yoobin... so Yeeun has no microphone for the rest of the perf & Sunye has two!
