[news] WG win “Group of the Year” award at KMA, the Korean Music Award on 031209

At the 6th annual Korean Music Awards taken place on March 12, Netizens picked Wonder Girls as “Group of the Year.”
Since the Wonder Girls were unable to attend because of their US activities, JYP rep Jung Wook accepted the award on their behalf, and said, “Wonder Girls could not attend the award ceremony because of their activities in the US, however they have been anticipating the results of this award show. Oh, and Sohee is a huge fan of Jang Ki Ha. And she specifically told me to mention this.”
Hearing this, Jang Ki Ha had a huge smile on his face. The hosts of the award show, Yoon Do Hyun and Lee Hana, jokingly added, “Jang Ki Ha must be happy he won 2 awards, but he must be thrilled to hear that Sohee is his fan!”

Congratulations to the girls for wining group of the year, that seem pretty big ^^. They totally deserve it for working so darn hard last year, lets hope this year is just as successful for them (in terms of awards won).

The Nobody rip off was hilarious to watch. I didn't expect it to sound exactly like the WG's version lol, the outfits, tune, dance everything is completely copied, but hey it just goes to show how amazingly popular our girls are

Judging from the next episode of wonderful, it looks like alot of Wonderful went to greet them, I can't believe SunMi thought nobody would be their. คือว่าพี่เป็นคนไทยใน US ค่ะ คือเมื่อวานซืน (11) ได้ไปโรงแรมที่สาวๆ พักอยู่กันหลังจากรู้ข่าวว่าจบโชว์ที่ MTV แล้ว Wonder Girls ยังอยู่ที่ NY ยังไม่ได้กลับเกาหลี พี่กับเพื่อนรออยู่ที่ล้อบบี้ของโรงแรมที่สาวๆ พักอยู่นานพอดูเลย คิดว่าตอนที่รออยู่นี้สาวๆ คงกำลังอยู่ที่ JYP office หรือออกไป Hang around ที่ ไหนกัน เพราะรอนานมาก ถามพนักงานเขาก็บอกว่าไม่รู้ (แน่ละ) และตอนนั้นก็ค่อนข้างดึกมากแล้ว พวกเราเลยตัดสินใจเอาของที่เราตั้งใจเอามาให้ฝากไว้ที่ล้อบบี้ให้เขาเอาขึ้น ไปให้ Wonder Girls ด้วย ซึ่งพวกเขาก็รับปาก และในตอนที่เรากำลังจะเดินไปที่รถที่จอดไว้ด้านหน้า เราก็เห็นมีคน 3-4 คนออกมาจากลิฟท์ ซึ่งพี่จำได้ทันทีว่าคนที่อยู่ทางขวาสุดคือโซฮี....อัน โซฮี ตัวเป็นๆ นอกจากโซฮีแล้ว พี่เห็นผู้ชายคนหนึ่งอุ้มผู้หญิงคนหนึ่งอยู่ เขาเดินตามหลังผู้หญิงผมบ้อบสั้นสีดำ ที่ตะโกนหารถตู้กับพนักงานโรงแรม เมือพวกเขาเดินมาใกล้ เพื่อนพี่ก็พูดออกมาแบบตกใจเล็กๆ ว่าผู้หญิงที่ถูกอุ้มออกมานั้นเหมือนซอนเยเลย พี่ก็ เพ่งไป บอกตรงๆ ว่าพี่จำไม่ได้จริงๆ หน้าเธอซีดมาก ผมหน้าม้าสีดำเปียกไปด้วยเหงื่อ พวกเรายืนนิ่งทำอะไรไม่ถูกกันเลย ขณะที่ผู้หญิงผมบ้อบสีดำก็เดินกระวนกระวายกับการรอรถอยู่ที่หน้าโรงแรม ซอนเยไม่ได้สติแล้ว เราเห็นโซฮีกุมมือซอนเยไว้ตลอดเลย สักพักรถก็มา ทุกคนขึ้นรถไปกันหมดแล้วก็ขับออกไปเร็วมาก พวกพี่ไม่ได้ตามไปหรอก เพราะมันออกจะดูเสียมารยาทเกินไปที่จะขับตามเวลานี้ ยอมรับตกใจจริงๆ คือตั้งแต่ที่ Wonder Girls มา ไทยแล้ว เพื่อนพี่คนนึงมันเป็นเพื่อนกับคนเกาหลี เขาก็บอกว่าซอนเยป่วยตั้งแต่อยู่เกาหลีแล้ว ก็เลยทำให้พวกพี่ติดตามอาการของซอนเยมาตลอด ที่มีอัด MTV Iggy พี่ก็ไป เพราะพี่กับเพื่อนพลาดทั้ง 3 คอนเสิร์ตที่ US เลย พอรู้ว่าสาวๆยังมีคิวอัด MTV เป็น อันสุดท้ายก็คิดว่าคงจะพลาดไม่ได้แล้ว และอีกใจหนึ่งคือพวกพี่เป็นห่วงซอนเยมาก (กลุ่มพี่มี 5 คน ซึ่ง 3 ใน 5 รวมทั้งพี่เป็นแฟนซอนเย ^.^) คือตอนที่พี่อยู่ในสตูดูน้องอัดหน้าน้องคือซีดมาก คือก่อนนี้มีโอกาสเห็นแต่ในรูปกับฟังประสบการณ์ของคนอื่นๆ พอมาเห็นด้วยตัวเอง พี่แทบอึ้ง คืออาการป่วยของน้องมันยังชัดเจนมากว่าน้องยังป่วยหนักอยู่ ทั้งๆ ที่ก่อนนี้มี Fan Account บางรายใน Soompi บอกว่า ซอนเยดูเหมือนจะอาการดีขึ้นมากแล้ว แต่สิ่งที่พี่เห็นมันไม่ใช่อย่างนั้นเลย นอกจากนี้สิ่งหนึ่งที่ทำให้พี่อดยิ้มนิดๆ ไม่ได้ก็คือการที่โซฮี น้องคนเล็ก ดูเหมือนจะเป็นห่วงซอนเยมากจริงๆ ระหว่างที่รออัด Nobody เธอ เหลือบมองซอนเยเป็นระยะๆ ถี่มาก เหมือนจะย้ำให้มั่นใจว่าพี่สาวตัวเองไม่เป็นอะไรจริงๆ ซอนเยหน้าซีดมากจริงๆ และจากความรู้สึกของพวกพี่ดูเหมือนโซฮีจะสนิทกับซอนเยมาก เพราะที่พี่เล่าเมื่อตอนข้างบนก็เป็นโซฮีคนเดียวที่เดินกุมมือซอนเย ขึ้นรถไปโรงพยาบาล....ย้อนกลับมาหลังจากที่พวกเขาพาซอนไปโรงพยาบาลแล้ว (ตอนนั้นเดาเอา) วันรุ่งขึ้น พวกพี่ก็แว้บเข้าไปที่โรงแรมอีกครั้ง ตั้งใจจะไปถามเรื่องของขวัญว่าเอาให้สาวๆ ยัง เพราะกลัวลืม และกลัวว่าของขวัญจะไม่ถึงมือสาวๆ ก่อนกลับเกาหลี ซึ่งเราก็ไม่รู้ว่าจะกลับวันไหน และอีกอย่างในนั้นก็มีของบำรุงที่พวกเราซื้อให้ซอนเยด้วย พนักงานก็บอกว่าฝาก Staff ของ JYP เอา ขึ้นไปแล้ว พี่ก็เลยลองเสี่ยงถามเขาต่อว่าเมื่อคืนพวกเราเห็นคนหนึ่งเหมือนซอนเยกับโซฮี เลย บอกตามตรงว่าไม่ได้หวังคำตอบจริงๆ เพราะตอนตั้งแต่มารอ ก็พยายามถามพนักงานตลอดว่าสาวๆ ไปไหน และจะกลับมากี่โมง แต่พอลองพูดประโยคนี้ไป เขากลับเงียบๆ และพูดออกมาสั้นๆ ว่า เมื่อคืนเขาพาซอนเยไปโรงพยาบาลกัน และก็กลับมาตั้งแต่เมื่อตอนเช้ามืดแล้ว นอกจากนี้เขาก็ไม่รู้....จากนั้นก็เลยเป็นประเด็นของพวกพี่เลยว่าน้องป่วย ขนาดนั้น ได้ไปโรงพยาบาล ก็ควรจะได้พักซัก 1-2 คืน แล้วนี่อะไร? พวกพี่เข้าใจนะว่าเกาหลีมันขึ้นชื่อเรื่องชาตินิยมมาก แต่หมอที่นี่ก็ไม่ได้ด้อยไปกว่าที่ไหนเลย พวกพี่เคืองตั้งแต่ที่ไทยแล้ว.

Summary of "Welcome to Wonderland" - Episode 3

Please do not read if you have not watched and do not want spoilers. =)

They started with some past interviews of the girls where it was sooo obvious that the girls were still really camera-shy and awkward during interviews. (They have improved SO MUCH!) They then showed this particular scene at an interview where Sunmi actually answered: "Well, I don't really know ~ ~" with this really "what should i do" expression, followed by some other interviews where the girls were just staring blankly around. (PRICELESS)

They then recapped clips of them winning awards, some scenes from Ep 1 & 2 and then to some BTS scenes at their Thailand concert. Thailand Wonderfuls were still chanting and cheering away for them after their encore performance when they finally left the stage, and it was so sweet to see the girls hugging, crying and cheering each other on. (I really LOVE how simple and normal our girls actually are and how much they care about each other, and not just themselves.)

They went back in time and showed the rehearsals they did the day before the concert and Yoobin said that she felt nervous and worried for the day tomorrow. Sunmi then said that the most nervous performances she had were during the Blue Dragon Film Awards Ceremony and the dry rehearsal for their Nobody comeback. They did their many rehearsals in front of JYP and after many conflicts and discussions, finalized the procedures for their concerts.

They then showed the many fans waiting for them at Siam Discovery the next day and how some fans performed cover songs of the girls onstage. The girls met JYP and 2PM at the backstage of the press conference and Yeeun randomly said that Wongirl is so hot to the camera ~ ~ When asked about her feelings prior to the press conference, Yoobin said that she felt good but can't express her feelings well because its inside her heart. Sohee said that she likes Thailand alot and that she felt that she matches well with Thailand. When asked about the prettiest member during the concert, Sohee cutely replies herself in a small whisper to which the PD gave a thumb up to ^.^

Sunye introduced their concert poster in English and dragged Nichkhun to join in the interview. He stutters while saying hi in Thai which got Sunye and the PD laughing. Sunye then practised some of her Thai phrases and promised to learn Thai language in the future. Yeeun took the role of the PD with the camera and started filming Yoobin and interviewing her. Yoobin said that even though the performance is half an hour away, it felt like only 5 minutes were left. She also talked about putting her trust in Sunye and Yeeun because they are often the ones handling interviews.

Sunmi started her adorable winking at the camera when she saw Yeeun coming over with the camera but Yeeun announced that she was just filming a closeup on the nostrils of Sunmi. ( " our 4-D girls) The PD then asked about the thoughts of JYP while he was chewing gum.

JYP took a piece of gum from Sunmi and after she introduced that the gum was double mint flavour, JYP reminded her to be careful about indirectly advertising (by showing the label on the bottle). Then Sunmi cutely replied that they have yet to do a bubble gum advertisement. (I bet they will be flooded with gum advertisement deals now.)

The next part was really cute between Sunmi and JYP. The staff told them to do a press conference as both of them were standing facing the camera and Sunmi asked what kind of press conference. Jokingly, Yeeun actually said marriage announcement!!! Then there was this scary shriek as sound effect while Sunmi looked shocked and started to move away from JYP, saying "go away!!!" and "i refuse" which got everyone laughing. PD-nim looked so sad being rejected and the worst was that the caption was "JYP's humiliation!". ^^

Yeeun continued to be the camera man, interviewing one staff and asking him questions like making a comparison between Wonder Girls' concert and JYP's Bad Party concert. The guy must be a BIG Yeeun fan because he cutely said that Yeeun is the best with his thumbs up and that he is looking forward to her performances the most.
He also mentioned that they have spent extra efforts into creating Yeeun's solo stage. (Probably the white piano stage)

She moved on to 2PM and Wooyoung said that Yeeun did something wrong to him to which Yeeun firmly replied NO! (Cute.. I can't imagine how close the JYP family is behind the stage) Nichkhun said hi in Thai, did a short introduction and a cute wink. It is then time for 2PM to get on stage and as Wooyoung walked by, he naughtyly asked Yeeun to say sorry to him. (I wonder what Yeeun has done, probably stole his snacks or something ~ ~)

So 2PM went up on stage as guests and performed "Only You", followed by JYP who did the Nobody dance. Our girls then went up on stage which got ALL of the people screaming and started talking about their concert in Thailand. Sunye said that they were moved by their Thailand fans the first time they were there and so decided that Thailand shall be the first stop for their solo concerts. Yeeun then continued by saying that the food in Thailand is really good, too good to be left out from mentioning. (I knew our queen of food would say that!) She also talked about how Thailand fans are very passionate and warm. The PD then asked Yoobin about how enthusiastic the fans were and Yoobin replied that even though the interpretator were next to them, they couldn't hear because of the loud cheers and ended up standing there blankly. ^.^

So they performed Nobody, took photos and left the stage. (Sunye looked really worn out stepping down the stage. T_T) The PD then asked Sunmi about their feelings after the news conference. She said: "I don't know because I'm having too much feelings now. The black boards (fan-made) that we saw here and there were really interesting." Sohee's question was whether the reaction of the fans was better this time as compared to the previous time and she replied that it seems that way and that they came with "Tell Me" the previous time. She also talked about gaining strength from the love of fans when the PD mentioned that they have heard that the girls were not feeling well. Yoobin thanked the fans for coming to the event and promised to show an even better side of them at the concert. (Which they totally did!) With that, they left for the news interview.

The dresses were stunning, the hair as shiny as it was smooth, and the girls sang those songs with all the love their crazy, adorable fans put out there.

There�s no doubt about it � The Wonder Girls are nothing like U.S. bred and born pop groups. Younger, hotter and better trained, we see no reason why everyone wouldn�t love them. (BTW, if Sohee�s adorable smile didn�t melt your heart, there is just really nothing that could.)

Whether we were watching 2PM and Wonder Girls flirt backstage, or taking the time to let the gorgeous boys practice their English with us (it was really a sacrifice, we know), the Iggy team has never had more fun at a show.

JYP takes actions towards Khmer "Nobody"
It was announced today that JYP is finally taking action on copycats of 08’s hit “Nobody”. He had been closing an eye to “parodies” around Asia but with an official recording of the song in Khmer girl group RHM’s “Vol. 376″ - topped off with MV incorporating both “Tell Me” and “Nobody” choreography no less. JYP had created a protest against the band.

Representatives of the Wonder Girls outside of South Korea, Sony BMG, will be in charge of investigations and court case procedures if there’s the need for them. JYP reiterated his decision on March 12th, of putting his foot down due to the Wonder Girls’ recent expansion overseas and the fear that copycats will affect future activities in Asia.
