why do I love kpop- their songs are good and it's easier for me to sing along to than other asian music (I'm better with their pronounciation). The quality of their songs, mv, and pictures and so are good. The celebrities are attractive looking and they have good humor. The variety shows help us see more of the real them, so I feel closer to them.

How did I get into it- out of boredom, I searched up Rain/Bi (introduced by a korean friend) in youtube and slowly became his fan and then I discovered more of other artists as the years went by. Youtube played a big part b/c I got too see all the shows and music concerts.

How I got into it - hmm, Lee Hyori was my first kpop star I fell in love with (still love her!). I saw her on Family Outing. So I'm pretty new. Power of Youtube.

Why do you love kpop?
They have lot genres of music, and the way they perform their songs is not monotonous, so if you listen to many Korean singers, you won't get bored easily of Korean music.
And their creativity on making the MV are awesome!!
If you like MV with story, Korean MVs are the best!! If you like MV with choreographed-dance-moves, they also have awesome MVs. Simply said, you can find any type of MV in Kpop....
Like sunnyside said, the pronouncation isn't as hard as the other languange, so we can also sing along to the song.
And one more thing that make Kpop stand out for me : the variety show!!
We can see their personality there; and some variety show make people interested in Korean culture.

How did you get into korean music / drama?
Many people start their Korean fandom from Korean drama, but for me, I start from watching variety show.
My friend has lots of it and she showed me some. Since there's many singer appear on variety show, I start to listen to their song, and the rest is history.....

Why do you love kpop?
I love k-pop because of their quality of music & also
their mvs.
I personally love some of their mvs
because they tend to put a story behind those songs
& it have a more humane feelings to it.
It is like adding a humane feelings to the song.
Even if you tend not to understand the language,you will
end up understanding what the song & music means.

Though people always thought that they
always tend to be so much influenced with the European music
industry,I think otherwise.Just listen to their music and you
will know that most of the music is an original sense.By the
way we will never know who influences who in the first place,
especially when we talk about things such as music
& fashion.



How did you get into korean music / drama?
I get into Korean music way before i get
into their dramas.The first song i listened to
was from BOA & Shinhwa,which was about 6 years ago
They got me interested
in K-pop,though i wasn't a crazy fan then.
But since I listened to songs from BIG BANG,SE7EN
& RAIN i found out that korean music
have a lot of potential.

love of kpop = the caliber of music...its very pure and heartfelt. the way they describe the emotions...the words used are deep and meaningful. its clean and not raunchy like alot of western music nowadays. the artists come across as humble and appreciative of their fan base and their success and doesn't seem cocky or full of themselves (again, unlike alot of the western artists who think they're the s**t)

how did i got into it = kdramas pretty much. i've always loved kdramas...but it wasn't until one specific movie where the ost really caught my attention and i looked up the artist. from there, i just gravitated toward that artist which lead to other artists.

why I love kpop= the music and the songs and everything are catchy and just great. Most of korean-entertainers, especially singers aren't just good in singing but dancing and entertaining as well. And on the good sidenote, most of them are very good-looking. Even some are inhumanly beautiful. xD thanks for korea's great plastic surgeons. But some are just naturally beautiful.
And the comedians are hugely entertaining and just pure funny. The shows are hilarious.

how did i got into it : Well it was all atrted when i watched the drama "Goong" and I feel in love with it, so I started to join everything about Goong in the internet and became a lover. Since I surfed through the k-wave world a lot, so I gradually found out about kpop and everything.
But the first thing that really took me into kpop is DBSK. ^^ they're multi-talented, funny, and good-looking guys. what more can u ask for?

Why I Love Kpop; There's a feeling that only Kpop have but not other Pop songs.. The popish feeling is the reason why i like Kpop..

How I Got Into Kpop; After listening to "O" by TVXQ, i tried other Kpop songs by TVXQ, BoA & SNSD.. All of their songs have a feeling that only Kpop would have and not any other Pop songs.. Hence, i converted from a Cpop lover into a Kpop lover.. =D

Why do you love kpop?
- they have a very catchy beat and dance specially I'm a dancer and use their awesome dance step and songs in dancing and the singers are very entertaining, its like your getting a package deal in a store, you go buy the singer and you also have a dancer and an actor.. not to mention a comedian too.. ^^

How did you get into korean music / drama?
-I used to play an online game which features some korean songs particularly se7en's Passion. I think its "audition" (the online game). then with some random youtubing I found out more artists.. Ahm in dramas... our local TV channels aired dubbed kdramas so, through them i got into the kdrama..^^

Why do you love kpop?because for me it does not matter the language,as long as it's good music,is perfect for me.Right now on the Kwave i love a lot of groups,with different styles but all good music.

How did you get into korean music / drama?at first i was looking Jdramas but then i found "full house" & "my name is kim sam soon".I enjoy them very much and the soundtracks and after that one of my friends said: i know a group....you are going to love them.TVXQ entered on my life and that was love at first sight xDDDD

Why do you love kpop? - Because the music to me, is much more easy on the ears than Chinese pop. It have this special vibe that is distinct.No matter for fast-tempo songs or ballads.

How did you get into korean music / drama? - I was watching a local competition and this group that i root for was singing chinese versions of 2 korean songs. (namely TVXQ's Rising Sun and Babo.)

I became interested in those songs as well as the group.I heard TVXQ(东方神起） and was wondering "WTH is that group?" major ROFL.

Why do you love Kpop : I like kpop because of the quality of their music, especially their hip hop and r'n'b songs which compared to western music isn't always about money, sex, pimps etc. There is also a wide variety within each genre, from bubbly/innocent pop songs to more mature sounds. Also, fans are able to connect with their favourite artists through various talks shows and variety shows, which like others have already stated, show the personality of the artist . On the other hand, i like kdramas for the fact that they don't drag on like most western dramas. Kdramas also tend to be very innocent and don't always center on the sexual relationship of the chracters.
Korean artists are also very hard working and always strive to achieve their dreams, and you're able to see their dedication from the years of training they've gone through in order to get to where they are. And korean artists always seem to be humble and dedicated towards their fans and always take into account their fans' feelings.

How did you get into korean music/drama : I first got into korean music when a korean friend of mine from school sang the english version of Dbsk's hug for a culture day celebration. And from then on a few friends of mine and I got hooked into kmusic. I started watching Kdramas after my friend introduced me to Rain's music and i started watching Full House.

Why do you love kpop? because it has a special feeling you don't get in english music, and there's such a wide variety that you can't get bored of it, besides, the artists are all really pretty and cool. I'm also learning korean, so listening to k-pop helps a lot.

How did you get into korean music / drama? long story... a friend introduced me to an japanese anime (vampire knight) which i loved, then i went on yahoo answers and asked for recomendations on anime or manga that i could like (nothing too boyish) and someone mentioned Goong (i know it's actually a manhwa, but whatever) so, i started reading it, and as i did, i remembered that once a friend from school had told me about an asian drama she'd been watching and the plot was quite similar to what i was reading. so, i asked her, 'what's the name of the drama you told me the other time?' and she said it was Goong. She lend me the dvd's, i watched it, fell in love with Joo Jihoon and everything that had to do with korea. end of the story.

Why do I like k-pop: I guess its cuz it's not so explicit with all the cursing and things like that, plus the genre is more suitable for me, a lot of the american music that I like is underground.

Why do you love kpop?

It's catchy, it's fun, and it's got a great vibe. Even the depressing ballads hahaha. I've really grown to love the Korean culture as a whole. I think it's really cool that the artists are so involved in the entertainment industry and are always coming out with new songs/performances as opposed to the US where live performances/concerts are rare, and after an album a lot of artists go MIA for years.

How did you get into korean music / drama?

My best friend is Korean and she'd always be watching shows like Love Letter with all the guest celebrities and even though I couldn't understand a word I always found them to be hilarious. Then back over summer 2006 I got hooked on Super Junior Full House and then Big Bang & it's all exploded from there hahaha
