Hey, guys. I heard Taegoon's song "Call Me" and it's really catchy! I've been watching a lot of his live prefs (well, three) and I saw that he lip synced in two of them. Is that going to be a trend for him? :c

he was just having a lot of mic problems in his first few performances, but in the most recent ones he's actually singing.

Yeah, but in my opinion, I'd rather you sound out of breath / bad live than lip sync. But I'm sure a lot of people don't mind the lip syncing, so, whatever.

That's exactly how I feel. I'd respect him so much more as an artist if he did that. HOWEVER, he just started, so he probably will find his own style soon; Rain / Bi was probably (and rather obviously) an influence on him.

im sorry to have asked this, but when i first saw his photo i was really sure he was very familiar.. i just need a confirmation.. for those who've watched Battle Shinhwa before, is he that really tall guy who made it till the end but wasn't picked? Because i was really disappointed when he didn't get picked... please enlighten me?! anyone?

He WAS lip-syncing for the first week of his debut (minus Music Core). But last week, he was singing LIVE for Mnet M!Countdown, Music Bank and Music Core. It's just that he's having problems with his mic. And He's NOT copying Rain at all! What makes you think he's copying Rain? Just because he wears clothes that are similar to Rain doesn't mean he's copying TaeGoon has his own style, if you watch his Star Battle performance, he dances completely different to him. So please don't make assumptions that he's copying Rain.

WEll he did remind me of rain before I can see that he tried not to be rain's shadow. Tae goon is tae goon. The way he performed onstage . smile in the middle of song while dancing, clenching his teeth is totally Rain's style . but there is some dance moves is his own like putting his hand in the pocket. NOt many singer do that.
I love them both Rain and Taegoon . in fact tae goon is fan of Rain so may be Rain affects him some.
THat is a good thing . Rain is really influential but I can tell Tae Goon is finding his own way . Give him a try and time to improve.
@lee jin ki: I know what problem you are thinking about. When i first introduce him to Rainfan that i know. Some of them really be ignorant b.c they say he copies Rain too much. but as i said now they may don't like him but not hating him at all.
AS much as i love rain. Rain can't be replaced by anyone else eventhough they try to copy him. Rain himself is the one we love.
But tae goon really learns something from Rain and take it as experiences to himself. That shows the respect of him to Rain and work hard to be himself.

I hope this thread will not be battle between Rain and Taegoon.

I like Tae Goon and think he has the talent and a skills to become very popular and great.
But I wish he would just be a little more of different from Rain.
If you are very much like another artist, you will always be compared to that person.
But Rain is SUCH an amazing singer, dancer and actor, no one wants to be compared to him,
However, me and other Rain fans must keep in mind that TG is probably a big Rain fan,
and that when he comes out with his next single/album, he will be different from now.
Maybe Rain would take Tae Goon as compliment.

The Rain and Taegoon thing needs to stop...People have mentioned it in the first, second, third, tenth even more pages but now it's the 18th page and people are still going on about it...He reminds you of Bi, okay, happy for you! But it's the 18th page now! It's annoying as the 'OMG Micky dated Park Ga Hee' repetition on the After School thread >_>

He only just debuted so his company is using different ways for people to know him, soon enough, they'll stop with the Bi/JJ thing and he can finally move on! It's just the Call Me dancing and stuff that reminds you guys of Bi but the rest of his songs are different. Look past the Bi thing and you'll find a guy with an image of his own! >_>

Anyways, I can't wait to see his performance on Music Bank!

i just watched today's performance and he def has improved
i loved how the fans chanting, especially because he's a new singer

wow at his pre-debut pictures, what a nice haircut can make but if we watch in those pics his smile is the same
plus he's not old so those pics were from his teen days

and yeak i think that everyone are saying that he copy Rain because of his dance moves but that it's not something bad for me
that means his dancing skill are really really good and that's something to be pround, but yeah it's kinda annoying to hear that in every page
