Newcomer singer TaeGoon revealed that he had actually dropped out of 1st year of university to fulfil his dreams as a singer.

He said in an interview recently, “If I had continued with my first year in school, I would not have become a singer. I was 20 then. So I thought I should stop school.”

TaeGoon has actually liked dancing since he was in secondary school. After which he had entered Korea Arts School taking dance as his major. But because of his participation on ‘Battle ShinHwa’, he had to drop school.

TaeGoon, “I never regretted my decision. If I had been eliminated from ‘Battle ShinHwa’, I may had become a real pitiful child, but I feel I will get more out of it. Until then, I had been a child protected under the wings of his parents dreaming to be a singer, but after participating on the program I really experienced what it is like in the society.”

“I had been hurt many times too. But having participated on the show, I had made many connections with people who had took care of me well. Even though I was picked from the show for doing very well, I thought there were many of my friends on the show who did better than me. I am someone who can’t just shake off my feelings and let things just pass.”

　　新浪娱乐：能不能向新浪的网友们介绍一下你的迷你专辑和其中的收录曲？(Can you introduce to the people on Sina your album and title song?)

　　Tae Goon：我首张迷你专辑的主打歌是《Call Me》。《Call Me》虽然很有节奏感，但整体旋律却很简单，大家听几遍就可以跟着唱了。《Call Me》的配舞也很简单，很容易跳。(My first title song is called Call Me. Call Me although has a rhythm feel, but the melody is very simple. Every body that listens to it will be able to sing to it. Call Me's choreography is very easy, and very easy to dance to.)

　　新浪娱乐：第一次登台时有何感想？ (What was it like on your first performance?)

　　Tae Goon：我的首场演出并不是现场直播的，而是事前就录制好的，那是我平生第一次出现在电视荧屏上。进行录制的时候，我非常紧张，流了不少汗，跳舞时也出了不少错，声音也有些颤抖。因此这首场演出给我留下了许多遗憾。(My first performance wasn't a live recording, but was recorded beforehand, that was my first time appearing on tv. When we were recording, I was very nervous and sweated a lot, the dancing came out alright and my voice came out shaky.

　　新浪娱乐：您的MV给人们留下了非常深刻的印象，能不能向大家介绍一下您的MV呢？拍MV时有没有发生什么有意思的事呢？(Your MV left a deep impression on viewers, can you introduce to everyone a bit about your MV? Was there anything interesting that happened while filming the MV?)

　　Tae Goon：参加MV的拍摄时是我第一次演戏。东方神起的英雄，还有演员朴信爱在我的MV中有客串表演，在MV中朴信爱演了个坏女人，既想勾引我，又想引诱英雄。MV很精彩，事先了解一下我们几个人在MV中的角色后再看MV会更有意思的。拍摄当天正好是圣诞节前夜，天气很冷，张嘴唱歌时都能看到哈气，在那样的情况下笑着表演真的不是一件容易的事。
给大家讲一件有趣的事吧。我的眼睛很小，我的MV中有些镜头是我在电话亭中拿着话筒表演，拍摄这组镜头时正当我唱得起劲导演突然对我说：“睁开眼睛唱！”，其实我一直都是睁着眼睛唱的啊，我对导演说：“我没有闭眼睛啊。”，导演就说：“那就再张大点。”所以整个录制过程，我都尽量把眼睛睁得大大的。还有就是，拍摄当天风特别大，灯也倒了，舞台也被吹乱了，那天工作人员非常辛苦。 (Taking part in this MV was my first time acting. DBSG's JaeJoong and actress Park Shin Hye was featured in my MV. In the MV, Park Shin Hye acts as a bad girl who tries to seduce me and also tries to seduce Jaejoong. 　　Tae Goon：我很喜欢唱歌跳舞，说到歌手这个职业的魅力……笑星和舞蹈演员用肢体语言与观众沟通，画家用画来启发人们的灵感，而歌手则用歌声实现与观众的互动，我想这就是歌手这个职业的魅力所在吧。(I really enjoy singing and dancing, a singer who has charms...smiling, dancing, a performer who uses body language that is what they can give to the audience. An artist who draws are inspire by people's inspirations.

　　新浪娱乐：你的音乐梦想是什么？(What is your dream in music?)

　　Tae Goon：我当歌手还不到一个月的时间，所以我想现在的我还不适合去谈论我想做这样或那样的音乐。我现在想唱的就是能够引起大家共鸣的歌曲，也就是说不管男女老少都会喜欢的歌曲。(I'm a singer that hasn't reached a month's time, that's why I think now is not the best place for me to discuss about what I want to do this or that in music. Right now I just want to sing so I can receive a good response of the song from everyone and also no matter if it's boy, girl, old, young will enjoy the songs.

　　新浪娱乐：现在你已经迈出了做歌手的第一步，接下来您最想实现的目标是什么？(Now you've already debuted as an artist as the first step, what is your goal that you most want to achieve?)

　　Tae Goon：到目前为止我登台的次数还不是很多，至少我觉得还不是很多，也没有哪场演出的表现是令自己满意的，所以我短期内的目标就是要努力表现使自己的实力得到肯定。(Until now I haven't been on the stage for long, atleast I feel I haven't been on that many, and don't know which stage performance I'm satisfied with. That's why my short term goal is to do my best in performances and to use my strength to reach it.

　　新浪娱乐：有没有去过中国？中国给您留下了怎样的印象？(Have you been to China? What impressions have you left on China?)

　　Tae Goon：真的很想去中国，但遗憾的是还没有机会。我很喜欢中国的狮子舞、京剧，还有变脸绝技，觉得变脸真的很神奇。出道前我还曾向我们老板建议将中国的这些元素加入到我的舞蹈里，可是这不太容易实现。在电视里看到过很多类似的表演，但还是很想去看看现场表演。中国有狮子舞，韩国有假面舞，我对假面舞也很有兴趣。我从电视中看到的狮子舞就是两个人一前一后地配合表演狮子的动作，真的很想看看现场演出。(Really want to go to China, but really pity not having the opportunity. I really like China's lion dance, Beijing opera, and changing expressions (sorry I don't really know how to explain this but people who wear diff. masks with diff. types of expressions and can quickly change into another one?). But nonetheless I really want to go watch a live performance. China's lion dance, Korea's Masquerade dance, I have a lot of interest for masquerade dance. I watched the lion's dance on TV with two people, one in front and one in back and their performance and moves were concise. I really want to watch it live.

　　新浪娱乐：能不能谈谈你未来的发展计划？(Can you discuss about your future, developing plans?)

　　Tae Goon：无论是中国，还是韩国都有很多顶级明星，而我最想做的并不是最顶级的歌手，而是一个最努力的歌手。(Regardless if it's China or Korea, they all have a lot of famous stars, but what I really want to do is not be a famous singer, but be the singer that puts in their all.)

　　新浪娱乐：最后对中国的粉丝和新浪的网友们说几句话吧。(Lastly, please say some words to your Chinese fans and people on Sina)

　　Tae Goon：虽然还没去过中国，但真的很想去看看，出道前就对中国产生了浓厚的兴趣。中国有很多东西是我很感兴趣的，所以有机会的话我一定会去看看。不知道中国的朋友会不会认识我，如果有认识我的朋友的话一定要为我加油哦。我会继续努力的。 (Although I haven't been to China, but I really want to go visit, before debut I already had interest in China. China has a lot of things I will be interested in. So when there's a chance I will def. go visit. I don't know if people in China will know me, if there are people that knows me please cheer for me. I will continue to do my best.)
