translated by muninzaa @ livejournal
A new singer from Korea who also came to greet the thai fans.
At the music festival in Pattaya, back in March, his name is Taegoon.
He has actual done several promotions in Thailand, as a runway model or held a meet and greet with his fans, and also participated in a concert. But unfortunately he wasn't on the international stage, so thats why there haven't been much news about him. (The journalists aren't able to split in to two..) But it doesn't matter, because this time asian plus got the opportunity to interview him about personal thing, and the things he really appreciates about Thailand. It's been a while since his last visit in Thailand (but we finally managed to catch him), we also have to reveal that this special interview is only available in asian plus magazine. Taegoon also wants to share the pictures from the clothing line he's the presenter of. After speaking with Taegoon, he also told us that the fans in Thailand has left such a deep impression that he'll plan on returning to Thailand as soon as possible. We're not joking. He really said that. But before revealing the interview, we'll do a introduction about him first.
The guy with the baby face and magic feet, Taegoon, released the first single of his life ''Call me'', he recently came back with his mini album. Which includes great songs as "As insignificant as you", and on the 6th of May he also released his music video teaser. Which captured the interest of many fans, because "As insignificant as you" was composed by Wheesung. Taegoon also revealed that he learned many things in the making of his mini album, and Wheesung taught him a lot as well. He's more confident about singing now, and (its too blurry) also revealed that he put a lot of effort preparing this, and he also practiced dancing for 8 hours a day.
The guy with who got a baby face, big muscles, good voice, great dancing skills and (too blurry to make out).
Let's move on to the interview with Taegoon.
ASP:"We'd like Taegoon to explain a about the things he's currently working with."
Taegoon: I'm very busy at the moment. I've got a lot to prepare for the new album, and dance practice.
ASP: "As a new singer, what do you think is the biggest issue?"[/size]
Taegoon: Uhm .. I think the fact that I don't have that much experience about being on stage, and that also relates to me not being satisfied about my performances.
ASP: "What do you think makes a great singer?"
Taegoon: For me, to be a great singer is about dreaming, determination and effort. (he answered while making a very serious face.)
ASP: "What hurt your feelings the most since debut?"
Taegoon: Mostly, it's the issues about not performing good enough, that makes me want to do better.
ASP: "Do you feel any changes in your daily life after debuting?"
Taegoon: There's a few things, but it's all just a part of it. After I debuted, sometimes I feel that I care a lot about what people think of me.
ASP: "What makes your life different now?"
Taegoon: I dont think its that different now. The practice I did pre-debut is still the same. Everything I did while training is the same even though I'm a singer now.
ASP: "What do you think is the reason behind gaining that fans in Korea and internationally, and what makes them like you?"
Taegoon: First of all, I'd like to thank all my fans that are showing interest in me and supporting me. I'm really touched. But personally, I don't think I have anything special that attracts fans. (he smiles ear to ear) But from now on I'll work even hard, to make everything better.
ASP: "If we don't count your features, what do you think is another great thing about you?"
Taegoon: I think it might be my personality. I'm the kind of type that likes to pamper and take care of others. I think that may be the reason why some people like me. (but we *ASP* thinks that your smile can't be beaten by anything) At the moment, I'm working wholeheartedly preparing for my 2nd mini album. And for other opportunities in the future, I'll do my best.
ASP: "What do you do on your free time?"
Taegoon: When I've got free time, I like to stay at home, or go outside to take pictures. But its sad, cause I don't have any free time.
ASP: "When you feel down or tired, how do you encourage yourself?"
Taegoon: Normally, I would listen to songs with fast beats, that are easy and fun to listen to. It cheers me up.
ASP: "What is the thing, that our guy named Taegoon is most afraid of?"
Taegoon: Haha..I'm afraid of odd things, such as flying birds. (Why?) Probably because they pip, pip, pip all the time(smiles until his eyes dissapears)
ASP:"What does your fans ask about alot?"
Taegoon: They mostly ask about my favorite food, or my ideal girlfriend and such.
ASP:"What is your personal style?"
Taegoon: I like clothes that makes me feel comfortable. As in a pair of jeans and a shirt.
ASP:"We've seen that you got a busy schedule, how do you take care of your health?"
Taegoon: I don't do anything special. I just make sure to eat all meals(as in 3-5 times a day) and go jogging when I've got the time.
ASP:"What do you think are the most important things as a singer?"
Taegoon: In my opinion, singers got to work hard without getting discouraged or give up, no matter how tough it might get. Thats the way to success. During the time I recorded Call me, I didn't have to face any obstacles. But if we really have to talk about struggling, I'd say the fact that I had to prepare my body on all times for recording. During the time I recorded "1, 2, Step" while singing "1, 2, Step" it felt relaxing and fun. But this song actually took 8 hours to complete. I don't know about others, but to me, even just recording 2-3 hours makes me feel dizzy. Which means that the song was finished while feeling dizzy. kekekeke. That also means that I don't have much experience in recording as well. Normally there's a chair at the recording studio. In the beginning, I thought the chair was there for me to sit on while recording. But I feel more comfortable with standing while singing. I also didn't know why they had that chair in at the studio. After finishing my recording, I came out to listen to the things I've been singing, and thats where I started feeling ... ah .. the things I've been singing in there came out like this. And after listening, I almost fainted. (he smiles so much his eyes dissapears)
ASP: "What did you feel after your last visit in Thailand?"
Taegoon: I was very touched and impressed. All the thai fans gave me such a heart warming welcoming.
ASP: "Is there any place in Thailand you'd like to visit, and why?"
Taegoon: I'd like to go to Koh PiPi (PiPi Island). I've seen some pictures of the beautiful scenario there. We don't have beaches like that in Korea.
ASP: "After returning to Korea for such a long time, do you still remember the language. If you do, what words can you remember?"
Taegoon: Ah.. not good. At the moment, the only thing I can remember is "Sawatdeekrub" (smiles)
ASP :"We heard that you're planning on returning to Thailand again very soon?"
Taegoon: I think it'll be within this year. I'd really like to meet the fans in Thailand again as soon as possible.
ASP: "Lastly, we'd like you to say a message to all your thai fans."
Taegoon: I'm currently doing my best in working here in Korea. I'd like to ask if I could get you to use the strength in your heart to cheer for me. I'll probably go see my fans in Thailand as soon as possible. Please remember to take care of your health. Thank you.
