I've been pondering on what I want to major in and I've listed what I'm interested in and maybe have potential in and that came out to be using my creativity. My weaknesses are Math and Science so I never wanted to get into that but even though I'm not good at designing either, I thought maybe I'd have a little hope.
Ah getting to the real problem now..
I'm interested in designing dresses.. wedding dresses, that is.
I don't know what steps to take and Google isn't much of a help for that either.
I searched for colleges to be a wedding designer but nothing caught my eye.
Do I need to finish my General Education no matter where I go (Fashion schools or just regular universities)?
Please, if any of you know anything about it, reply back!
I'm in desperate need for help deciding on my major and wish to get as much information as I can.
Any websites?

you would be studying the same thing other fashion students are studying. and then eventually venture out to focus on wedding design
I mean, Vera Wang started as an editor in a fashion magazine then she started to design wedding dresses...so it can be different from say going to art school first.
why don't you find a wedding shop, or a tailor shop specially for wedding gowns and ask the people that work there?

Have you tried taking self assessment test to see what are your interested fields? if not that should be the first step before you think about colleges. Or you could do it the easy/hard way and get your generals then go for what you want. But it's all up to you.

The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising also known as FIDM.
It's best to attend a Fashion school in LA or New York. Wedding Designing isn't just wedding designing. You must learn all aspect to design and then apply it to what you really want to create in the end. FIDM has a 2 and 4 year program.
I'm currently enrolled at FIDM as a Graphic Designer.
