If you've got the "Hide file extensions for known file types" option turned on under Tools > Folder Options, then turn if OFF. That option prevents you from properly renaming it to an .AVI file extension. Your filename is probably ending up like I.Not.Stupid.Too.2006.PROPER.DVDRip.XviD-MoNi.avi.CD1 instead of I.Not.Stupid.Too.2006.PROPER.DVDRip.XviD-MoNi.CD1.avi which is what you really want.

I am not sure if you are able to play anything with that. .CD1/.CD2 are file extensions that relate to the Cafeteria Document System Data files.

It's either one of two things.

A video file or a disc image file.

Either rename the file extension from CD1 to AVI and see if it opens in your media player. Or open it as a CD image with a CD burning program and burn it to disc.

Unlikely to be the case here because the filename suggests it's an XviD file split into two files that fit on 700MB CDs. A quick google search finds that filename typically shows up as a torrent with files in AVI format. That agrees nicely with the naming scheme used there. It's possible, but be unlikely, for someone to go thru the trouble of changing the file format. It's more likely they somehow truncated the file extension when they repackaged the movie into RARs.

PS: Nice work on the "Nt Authority\system Virus?" thread. happy.gif

Hmm... Well I usually get stumped with things not security related. You can handle it from here then xD

And thanks.
