So everytime I turn on my comp, its been making this weird noise. This lasts for about 10 seconds.
I think it's because I watched some burned dvd's like a week ago. When I inserted the dvd to watch it, it made the exact same noise as when I turn on my comp.

Is my computer damaged or is this normal after watching a burned dvd?

Is it like a low humming noise? Doesnt that mean your computer is reading the disc? Lol

Mostly likely the noise is caused by your cd or dvd drive is loading the disc.

not really a humming sound but more like a mechanical noise.
Yeah, I know it's normal for the comp to make the noise when I insert the dvd
but the problem is it keeps making that noise even when there's no disc inside.

I took the dvd out but it's still making that noise.

When's the last time you've cleaned out your computer? How old is it?
