The Toyota FT-EV concept is a fully electric commuter car which will go on U.S road by 2012. It is also known as a BEV (battery-electric vehicle), the FT-EV share its platform with the iQ urban commuter vehicle. It has a lightweight body with four seats and exceptional mileage. This concept will suit an urban dweller, driving to and back from work up to 50 miles.

hahahahaha

I just thought of power rangers sweatingbullets.gif

oh the good ol days

but back to the subject, I'd assume it'd have better performance with some kind of ventilation for the battery motor itself because as Temperature increases so does Resistance.

SO in laymens terms,

Electricity flows better in cooler weather!!

Batteries are chemical-based hence they release their energy slower, not faster, in colder weather.

My first reaction is the car looks like a moving coffin for the iPod crowd.

It's about time people realized the utility of electric vehicles for city dwellers... more space efficient, monstrously energy efficient for the places they'd be driving...

So who wants to trick one out? They've already done it to the toyota yaris and smart cars =P
