Other factors:
Male or Female (female accidents are MUCH more expensive statistically, but men have more)
Age (costs lower at around 22 or so)
Family history (most don't know this, if you use the same insurance as your family and your family wrecks a lot, you pay more)
Vehicle safety ratings
AAA Service
Curtain airbags (my insurance dropped about $80 a year for them... and it was a $65 upgrade)
Spoiler - higher cost
Cosmetic "sport" models - much higher cost
Front Passenger Safety
Fender material (plastic fender or metal... plastic means cheaper insurance)
Origin of vehicle - European is sometimes higher, US means monstrously higher insurance, Asia (Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Subaru) have much better general insurance
Those are some of the factors in there... If you want a sporty looking car with body molding and such, if you put it on after purchase, it won't raise your insurance as much as getting the cosmetic sports package. Corolla insurance for me would go up around $90 a year for the cosmetic package; adding it on after purchase would add no cost. But I didn't get a Corolla =P

mostly depended on years of driving , your age + your driving record. honda pilot IS considered a SUV by insurance.
18-25 = your insruance will be high...
26-30 = start to decrease
31+ just gets cheaper and cheaper.

experience matters # of years your licensed
driving records..
get one of your parents or someone who have good driving records..even if your newbie.. your insurance is less expensive
brand matters( 98 bmw cost more than 08 honda pilot..)
