i think there's a good chance that i will relocate to somewhere far away from where i currently reside in a couple of months for work.. and i'm curious where you guys meet new people outside work.. i probably wouldn't wanna hang out with coworkers outside work after seeing them all day.. haha

i guess i could take some night classes.. but what else can i do to meet new people?

where will you live? maybe pick a place where there's many young people around.

i usually make friends with people, who live in the same building. when i used to be new
i bought little gifts (candy and drinks) and introduced myself to the people from the building.
i guess i was lucky, cuz there's only students and young people in the building and the
first ones i introduced myself to invited me to their party. so that's how i got to know their
friends... and so on...

later i also gave my own little party and invited the people from my building.

i also meet people randomly at the supermarket, on the streets and parties, clubs etc.
just beopen and don't be afraid to talk to people from the opposite gender. if there's
misunderstandings, then just tell them straight away that you're just being friendly
and not trying to hook up with them or something.

also it's not bad to hang out with people from work. some of them can be pretty cool
depending on where you work at. usually when i train for performances i get really
close to other people, who work there. we spend almost all day and night together, so
it can get annoying. but after the work is done, it's always a good feeling to celebrate with
the same people, because they're the only ones, who know what it was like to work
on this project. also when there's performances i always meet people afterwards.
so yeah, also hang out with people from work.

i work out once a week and attend yoga class. that's where i meet people as well.

My favorite way to meet people is doing the thing I love: film.

So if I'm writing in a cafe, or filming somewhere and people want to get involved or chat and see what's happening (which most people want to do) that's a good way. I also like when I know we have something in common too.

I'm still in college, but when I was working, I would go and street dance (lots of fun popping on streets), play guitar (typically with one or two people I know), go to big conventions / events whenever possible and just chat up people I see who look interesting (or cute =P), go to clubs, see people at the pool, lots of places!

Generally I try to follow my interests and see who I meet along the way. Also, libraries, I love working / reading / dancing in libraries (don't ask about the last one), and you can typically meet interesting people in them.

The unemployment office is where I usually meet a lot of people when I'm waaaay outside of work.
If not there, then I meet them at a bar someplace. But they're usually the same people.

first 2 years of college i worked part time, so i mostly met people through school and parties, then friends' friends blah. now that i work fulltime 9-6 and do online classes, i dont really meet anyone...sorta no life now lol.

College, tea/coffee places, clubs, bars, concerts, photography, and cars. I travel around a lot in my area so I meet a lot of different people that way. It's easier to find people with common interests that can be shared (i.e. Photography, Cars, other hobbies)

Through friends of friends.. volunteering, going to church--anything social. It's just not as fun as when you're in school though!
