Very excited for the anime now after seeing the casting release in the latest chapter. That is an amazing cast picked out. Each one of those voice actors has a great track record.

Btw, the studios involved will be Satelight and A-1, both of which I rarely see drops in animation quality.

It'll air on TV Tokyo though, so I hope it can fight for a good solid timeslot that won't limit the episodes, like most of the other animes coming out recently. (Imagine a 13 episode abridged Fairy Tail anime :S)

Now it all depends what kind of budget they can get...and then comes the situation of getting a director...

I've been following the manga since May and have been hooked ever since.

I'm only up to chapter 140 though because I want to save a little bit of story in case I wanna indulge ahah.

I don't find the voices strange since I never read the manga. I guess once I start reading the manga (after I watch the anime) the anime voice actor's voices will run through my head while reading it. It'll be the opposite of you...

@cutiek028: No prob. For some reason, I always thought Natsu's voice would be higher and childish like Luffy's (One Piece). Do read the manga when you have the chance. It's pretty good. I'm just hoping that the anime won't be bad.

I couldn't agree more. None of the voices really matched what I was expecting. I thought Lucy's voice would be more...serene...and...ditzy. But it sounds really...rushed?

And yeah I thought Natsu's voice would be a lot more kiddish.

First episode is decent. Even though it looked childish, I actually enjoyed watching it. Seems faithful to the manga so far. Animation isn't the best. Hopefully it'll improve. The voices don't bother me much now. My goodness Happy is adorable. Too bad he sounds so much like a girl. Gerard looks odd. He looks way younger than he is portrayed in the manga. Will continue to watch this series.
