i love it so much!
i got a 2-door in 'candy white' with stock alloy rims.
i was SO pleasantly surprised when i test drove it...it's pretty quick (2.5L, V5) and handles beautifully. after driving a honda accord and an acura RSX forever, i definitely find it to be an upgrade in terms of the quality of the ride.
i was never a fan of VWs before (although i've always thought they were well designed aesthetically) and was shocked to see that consumer reports magazine recommends the new rabbit! according to the magazine, it's actually reliable unlike a lot of the other VWs. and it got basically a perfect score on the road and safety tests :]

Needs BRONZE rims. But IMO the Rabbit seems like a solid car overall.

cool, the rabbit is alright. nice interior for a 17k car.

Nice car indeed. Too bad VWs in Canada are like sooo overpriced. Nice buy none the less though.
The early bird may get the worm, but, the second mouse gets the cheese in the mouse trap.
