I'm going through alot of sales list in the selling & trading forum and noticed ALOT of sellers charging the buyer PayPal fees. Here is a quote from the PayPal website:

"Paypal User Agreement

Payments (Sending, Receiving, and Withdrawals) Policy

VI. No Surcharges. Under Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express regulations and the laws of several states, including California, merchants may not charge a fee to the buyer for accepting credit card payments (often called a "surcharge"). You agree that you will not impose a surcharge or any other fee for accepting PayPal as payment. This restriction does not prevent you from imposing a handling fee in connection with the sale of goods or services, as long as the handling fee does not operate as a surcharge (in other words, the handling fee for transactions paid through PayPal may not be higher than the handling fee for transactions paid through other payment methods).

Haha, I knew some people already knew. Those are the ones I report to PayPal.

^you are paying for the convenience of using their service. the other reason why you are being charged seller fees is because YOU are choosing to accept CC payments. even local stores are not allowed to charge fees to accept CCs and they are charged seller fees too.....

I don't buy from people who charge a Paypal fee.. If you don't want to pay them yourself, buy the premium account or whatever it is.

Damn.. and I just bought something. But either way, I wouldn't show it to my seller, because I know they wouldn't sell me their item then. And it's imported so I have no choice=( But thanks for posting. I knew there was something wrong with me getting charged a fee??

Agreed. There are barely any Soompi sellers who don't charge fees with Paypal payment. mellow.gif

^ ^ ^ If someone refuses a sale to me because I won't pay THEIR seller fees, I will happily report them to PayPal.

ETA: In fact, I'm going to the PP website now to do a little research. I should just report this whole site.

rolleyes.gif Okay I get the point you're a bitter person.

If you really want to complain, go talk to the buy and sell mods about it.
