Okay... so I'm deciding which phone I really want.
My friend recently got a G1 black and I really really like it (bc I like big phones). Then he told me that there's a white one too, and it looks even better! BBBBBUT I also like the white LG KF350 also known as the Ice Cream phone. Hmm... this is a big dilemma here.

So someone who has these phones or knows a lot about them... please tell me the pros/cons of them.

Thank you very very much<3

OH! And anyone who has the KF350 please tell me if there's a cellphone chain hole, thank you :>

G1 White

OR?

LG KF350 White

It depends what you need I guess...

For looks and cute led lights? lg ice cream

texting w/ cool sliding mechanism? g1

Personally I'd choose the ice cream... the cute led lights won me over xD ... plus I like to have things that not much ppl have... I've seen a bunch of ppl with the g1 but no one (so far) with the ice cream (where I'm from anyway) so it'll be more special.. haha happy.gif

hey, i should warn you that the white G1's are made differently from the black G1's. the white ones are painted and have chipping problems (you can do a search on google) while the black ones are molded plastic.

G1 definantly has more functions than the Ice Cream

the Ice cream phone is just a cute basic phone... G1 is more.. smarter? hahaha

Hi there.
I've got my lg ice cream phone. My advice: if you stay outside of Korea and the ice cream phone is an unlocked version, you better don't buy it. Cuz it's very problematic.

If you want a phone just for the looks get the ice cream phone. But I personally own and G1 and it works wonders. I can't go a day without utilizing at least one of the phone features. I says it's as good as the iPhone if not better. But like I said, if you're more into looks than technicality then just go for the ice cream phone.

The G1 has a lot more features than the Ice Cream phone I believe, but if you don't use those features there won't be a point. So if you are going to buy it for it's features then get the G1. However, if you don't use the features just stick with a basic phone like the LG Ice Cream.

ur comparing a regular phone to a technology phone? they are not even in the same category as far as what G1 offers that the Lg does not. it all depends on features. i have a G1 bc i use it for internet, text, dialing, aim, msn, taking notes, pictures, bank of america, wiki, google, mp3 player, & etc.

G1 - Android is probably the most amazing phone operating system. If you like browsing the web and want it fast...get the G1...

honestly...the ice cream looks like a plain white phone...

I believe if you want a full feature phone where you can download plenty of applications
which will make you never bored of it, get the G1.

Android Operating system is not quite as big as apple but on par. It has a bright future
and there will be many updates and great apps available for the the G1.

i would choose the icecream phone.

i have the htc touch pro right now for a couple months now, and i'm getting tired of its bulkiness..
sure the internet is nice, but i dont use it frequently. QWERTY is very convenient for texting, but the touch screen can get a bit irritating.

so basically, if you really dont need a high tech phone, dont get one. its not like you'll be using it a lot anyways or have the time
to learn how to fully utilize the features..in my case anyways.

I don't see what is so special about the ice cream that people want it so much. Go with the G1 or Behold.

No way... it's not as developed and there aren't as many applications as the app store for the iPhone.
Unfortunately for the android platform, Apple seems to have beaten them to the app store idea and that is a big advantage. The iPhone is king of the apps right now. And flash is coming to the iPhone and android phones.

But Android does have a lot of possiblity in the future. And I am looking forward to the G2.

The G1 monthly bill (or any smartphone bill) will easily be twice the one of that LG phone due to the data plan, if not more.

I would not get the G1. If you can wait, it seems like an announcement will be made at the mobile world congress in the 2nd wk of Feb. about the G2, the next gen G1. And it's white.

If you really want a smartphone and can afford it, I'd go with iPhone right now. But I'm waiting to hear about the G2 and see what the Palm Pre is all about. That and the next gen iPhone, which is rumored to have a June release has been rumored to be popping up on the San Francisco cell phone networks. So really, just wait unless you absolutely need a phone right now.

How are you comparing apples app store to the android's market place? How long have iphones been out? Since 2007? It took apple nearly a year to roll out any kind of app store. The G1 on the other hand released October of 2008, with a market place...it's an unfair comparison...

I have an unlocked G1 on the ATT network and I only pay $15 dollars for data -shrugs-...cheaper data plan than even the 1st gen iPhone...

G2 is nice...but i wont be getting it cause theres no physical qwerty keyboard...=P

It's not unfair, it's reality.

This is what any android user will have to face. This is Apple's competitive advantage- they were first, they've been out longer, they have more developers, they have a larger user base. Apple has a big head start. Why wait for the android marketplace to develop when the iPhone already has tons of apps? Most consumers will not wait, they want it now.

It's just like the iPod. The iPod/iTunes got a head start, sure they're rhapsody, the zune store, etc, they just never caught on. iTunes/iPod has been the default choice, the standard for music.

There are a lot of anti-apple/iphone people. A lot of consumers WILL wait, and they do.

I've owned the iPhone and the G1. I don't see anything particularly wrong with android. It's clean, fast, and browser does not crash(im all into apple but safari has to go). As for apps...they are only fun the first day and just sit on my screen, and that goes for both devices.

Android is just starting up, youre basically comparing a baby to an adult.

And most consumers like variety in devices...=). Samsung, Motorola, LG should all be showcasing their android devices at MWC in a couple weeks...=) yay
