just wondering, what CAN i apply for if i am to work in the next 3 years. also, which schools may be better for CS: vanier or dawson? should i further study cs in uni? if so, will there be any diff in terms of salary compared to a college student?

Er, you'd get higher wages if you went to university then in CEGEP. Where you get your DEC doesn't matter frankly. You'd still have to do a Pure & Applied Stream if you're intending to go into computer science.

The reason I chose CS is because unlike Life sci or other schools, once you graduate you can get a job. If you have a lot of experience, there's alot of money to be made in Silicon valley. The best CS schools imo would be Stanford, UC, etc.

maybe in a couple years... but right now, silicon valley has it tough. even google's laying off people. i know it's mostly HR, but it's still a sign of the times. i know a few yahoo guys that got laid off too.
there's still some bright spots though. i think there's a good market for flex developers. flash is on the rise, and flex is leading the way of the next generation of internet experience via RIA's. microsoft's trying to catch up with silverlight, and to a certain extent, google's still in the picture with their ajax based toolset.
