I'm more fluent in English than in Chinese but whenever I'm counting, I always count using Chinese. I find it more natural as if it's something innate. And it's just much more efficient than English imo.

It sounds crazy but I do both at the same time.

Two-dul
Three-set
Four-net

etc. etc.

I count in English most of the time,
But when I'm at home or with people that speaks my language,
I count in Vietnamese.
I think counting in Vietnamese is faster for me when I count.

Most, if not all the time in English. I can only count up to a certain extent in my native language.
