Problem:
Every time I kiss him, I end up with a sore throat. I've asked him repeatedly if he is sick [or has mono] but he says no. And he's not going at it with other girls, so where are these.. idk, germs coming from??

&& yes, I'm aware that the mouth harbors lots of bacteria, but still.. I'm pretty sure that all you guys && gals don't end up with sore throats EVERY TIME you kiss you bf/gf...

So guys and gals, has this ever happened to you? What do you think I should do?

So thanks for all of your replies. So he took all y'alls advice && has been brushing his teeth && rinsing w/ mouthwash (3-5x a day! lol). And now when I kiss him no more sore throat :]

Mmmm well w/ mono actually they say symptoms are more like flu & fever.. but sore throat was one of them. Although they say it takes like 4-7weeks to feel symptoms? *forgets*. Eh maybe I should edit that part then haha.

He might not be practicing oral hygiene as rigorously as you, or your throat, could hope.

Or maybe you are allergic to his saliva. ... ... .. hehehehe : )

Either way, I doubt if you say, "Brush more.." that he will admit he is poor in that department if he actually is.

It's most likely bacteria in his mouth that he's become resistant / immune to, and you're having a hard time coping with. Make him mouthwash morning and night, clean it up. Brushing teeth doesn't always kill the bacteria under the tongue, on the walls, along gums...

This actually happens a lot more often then you think. It usually means that your throat is trying to kill off the germs caused by the saliva exchange.

I don't think it's mono. You would definitely know for sure if you had mono. You would constantly just want to sleep and feel very tired and lazy. It's more than just a sore throat.

i only get sore throat when i kiss my bf when he is sick. then i'll fall sick after a couples of days kissing him. so i try to avoid him when his sick so that i wont get sick after that..

i guess its bacteria.. maybe try drinking apple cider vinegar after u kiss him? the taste kinda sucks though so u gotta bear with it..
