Oh wow...the G2 looks pretty awesome. It looks much more sleek than the G1.

Patience... I'd wait for next months MWC (mobile world conference), maybe HTC will give us more info.
There was a rumor saying it would be released soon, like in the next month.

I think it will be released within the first half of this year.

The G1 sucks. There are too many flaws with the G1. Don't believe me? The market agrees with me. The iPhone is outselling the G1 6 to 1.

Palm Pre is coming. Better to release the G2 now when it's just the iPhone and the Verizon storm (a non-issue, really). T-mobile and HTC can steal some of the Palm Pre's thunder and sales by releasing the G2 before the Pre.

I dont know about you guys, but that think looks very ugly.
Not as ugly as the g1, but god damn, I almost barfed in my mouth.

It looks like those toys created by tonka. Is it even a phone?

Anyways, back on subject, there really is no difference in getting this.
If you want a slimmer phone with no physical keyboard, then get this.
I would pick the g1 since typing with no physical keyboard sucks! Like the iphone.

However, the other HTC phone below the leaked images of the g2 looks really great.
It looks like the HTC HD. I would get that instead...if it was real. No confirmed news yet.

Apparently this still has no 3.5mm headphone jack.

It's OK looking, but what seals it for me is if they can fix some of the G1's problems then I will consider it- it will be cheaper to run this on T-mobile than the iPhone on AT&T.

The Palm Pre is another one I'm looking that has a nice data plan on Sprint.

These are all fan made.
It wouldn't make sense in the first place to pay for all those advertisements on the G1.
Also, just like the iPhone and how they release their products each year around the same time...T-Mobile and Google would probably do the same.
Currently Using: Apple iPhone 4 White 32GB, Apple MacBook Pro 17" Quad-core i7 8GB 128GB SSD and Apple iPad 2 White 32GB

Why oh why did this end up in Europe???
I was really looking forward to this phone...
And I thought I could just import it, but apparently the 3G is totally different over there. sad.gif

Well, I guess I can always hope that it might be released here. Or hope that cupcake might improve on G1...

There may be hope for the G2 to come to T-mobile, at a Google demo for its offline e-mail:

Oops...
http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/19/googles...ound-htc-magic/

But then again, the HTC Magic = G1 - keyboard - cupcake
It actually has the same processor, camera, etc. as the G1.
Hurry up T-mobile, release this in the states!
