Why do you do that? I'm really curious. Do you find it cute? Trendy? I guess I can cope with the fact that girls do it but awkward when guys do it. What I cannot stand though is if you're already 20+, out of school and working but still doing it...

Someone enlighten me!

Eh ... I haven't seen people do that anymore. Maybe if you're still in middle school or high school... I think girls that do it are just as annoying.

I see alot of girls that type like that when texting, like why would you go out of your way to make it look cute or whatever when you can just type it the correct way faster??

I thought this was a spam e-mail for Dish Network haha. Yes I don't like it either. For the most part it has gone away but there are still people out there. One of my buddies still chats on messenger like that.

I don't think it's for the 12-16 female crowd though... about 2/3 of the texts I get from girls (college age... 18-24ish) are like that, and it's unbelievably annoying. It takes me like 5 minutes to figure out wth the text was supposed to say, by the time I figure it out, they've gone and sent me another text asking if I got the first one / why haven't I responded back... but it takes me another 5 minutes to decipher that one =(

I was hoping with the keyboard phones that people would finally use regular spelling / use fewer abbreviations and weird notation, but apparently the keyboard just makes it easier =/

Sounds like girls that are stuck in their highschool years.

Very annoying way of spelling things.
