To those people who say they are 100% Korean, Chinese, Japanease, Viet ...etc..

How are you sure u are 100%?

I dnt knw if i am 100% Chinese, because i have a popular viet surname 'Nguyen' .. but im chinese.

But i was told that my great great grandad had a ponytail when he was living in China,
so that tells me im probably 100% Chinese. But im not sure.

Do u knw anything about ur family background?
Open your eyes O_O ..

I've never really dug deeper into the subject. I guess I don't really know, but I take my parents word for it.

My dad's side of the family was really good at recording their family geneology. Anyway, I am pretty sure I am 100% asian and there was no interracial marriages.

My mom's mom (grandma)'s grandpa was of Spanish decent, very light-skinned. And somewhere in my mom's side we have Italian decent, my last name is Italian, which is weird cause my mom's side is Spanish/Filipino. My mom's dad (grandpa) is of Indonesian / Chinese apparently, there's not much that he knows about it.

My dad's side is Japanese / Filipino. I have asked him, and he was told somewhere in the bloodline, it's also of Chinese/Spanish decent.

That's as far as I know. I turned out dark out of the rest of the family, lol.

Cause I asked for the family tree and traced it back as far as it went (meaning, someone actually thought of creating one and passing it down).
Looks like a re-print though LOL

There definitely was..interprovince relationships?

I asked my mom, and she said I was 100% Chinese...so I guess I'll just believe her lol.

But from what I know, I seem to be.

I really don't understand mine either, we all look different with different mixes.

But I take my family's word for it though there are times
I get introduce to new people and they turn out to be related/family to me.

It always give the impression of: How is that possible?

I never want to look into it that much<3 Either way, I'll always love my family and who I am ♥

both parents come from remote villages where very few westerners or non asians travel, so I really doubt they had much contact with non asians or intermarriage.

WHAT?
Your great grand-dad had a ponytail when he was living in China so that makes you 100% Chinese?

I just took my parents' words for it. It'd be cool to be mixed with something else, but I couldn't be bothered to find out.
