^ are you talking about threadmills?
i think they're rather expensive. i mean, one with all the works (measuring speed, amount of calories burned yadayada) could easily be more than a thousand dollars.
and don't worry about the noise thingy, it doesn't make enough noise to disturb people=D
hope this helps.

If you want a better workout, less stress on your joints, and less noise, get an elliptical machine, NOT a treadmill. Cheaper ones run around $250, more expensive ones run around $1800. The one I have was about $450, but that was on a 45% off sale.

any cardio workout or machine or w.e you call it isnt really worth the $$ imo
- id say go run outside
- go skip rope or do yoga
- mix it up and do some sports with a good amount of intensity
have fun with cardio exercises you know and dont just buy that "jogging machine" and jog for the rest of your life at home you know=]

Krusty: I don't want to hit a sore spot, but can we talk about herpes?
Herpes herpes, bo-berpes, banana, fana fo-ferpes -- her-pes.
Ow!
Hey: that spot on Gorbachev's head -- herpes, trust me!
Anybody here have herpes? Huh? Huh?

Maybe you should get an elliptical? It's a better workout in my opinion AND you power it yourself when you exercise, so less stress on your energy bill. Lol. And it's pretty damn quiet, easier on your joints as well.

you can find a treadmill at a good price at wal mart, or sear. i bought mine for just $300 dollar. it work well but i rarely run it because it is too tiring and not enough time.
