so many of you who've been to SF have probably heard of the cliff house and the very curvy path that leads to geary or ocean beach. i live around there, so today i was driving up towards geary. i was around the steep blind right hand turn around the mountain when i see a black miata going sideways on the opposite lane on the downhill. i thought he was spinning out, so i jumped on the brakes and swerved. the miata did a 180 and stopped right at the double yellow, then drove into one of the diagonal parking spots in front of the cliff house.

WTF? why would you do something like that on a rainy day on a steep downhill with cars in the opposite lane? what possesses people to try stupid mini cooper like that. if he overshot, i wouldve been hit and the cars behind me probably wouldnt have stopped in time. im still wondering if he really did lose control or he meant to do that, cuz if he did that's ridiculous.

good thing you and your car are in one piece. if he did spin out then good thing nothing terrible happened. if he just wanted to go sideways, then that fukn idiot.

So I'm driving down the road about to cross an intersection, the light is green. A car is several car lengths ahead of me minding his own business when a car runs the red and slams on the brakes, stopping right in the middle of the intersection. The car in front of me swerves to avoid this car (successfully). I slow down and I see it's some fat lady with a cell phone that parked her car in the intersection. She looks around stunned for a brief moment but continues to talk on the cell phone, waiting for the traffic light in the middle of the intersection.

At the same intersection, I've seen cars turn on their blinkers and honk so that they can run the red. Once the cross, they turn off the blinkers and move on.

I also hate the pedestrians in my city- they all just walk wherever, hey why not stop all the traffic just for you?

I also hate the drivers in my city- I've gotten nudged by a SUV trying to turn and he didn't see crossing the street when I had right of way. I also like the drivers that accelerate and cut me off when I've got right of way and am trying to walk across the intersection.

The pick-ups and SUV drivers that purposely cut me off or just decide to go even though I have right of way. They always do it with a smirk or smile on their face like they know they can get away with it.

The other day I was driving down this two lane road. This SUV is driving the opposite way and just turns, no turn signal, nothing. If I didn't brake, I would have smacked my car right into his side... where his kids were sitting. Really? That idiot deserves the father of the year award there. CPS should take his kids away from him. Actually, that road is notorious for pedestrians and cars just turning into traffic. I'm surprised I haven't seen more accidents on that road.

All in all, I have to say I avoid one accident a day simply because I drive thinking that all drivers are drunk or think they have right of way all the time.

That curvy road has a speed limit of 20-25 max. I learned very quickly that going up this it should only be about 20, because the blind curve, i went in to that curve and almost hit a broken down BMW in the right most lane. If you took the left lane, you always ran the risk of getting hit from another car from the opposite direction. I drive this very often as well as my sister who uses this rioad to Geary every night (she works graveyard shift) and preferably stay in the right lane and go slow.

Some people are pretty crazy on this little curvy downhill road. Most of the times I see (inexperienced drivers)people crossing the double yellow when they're coming down...

Don't you love it when people pull out in front of you when you're like 20 ft away when I'm going 40 mph, therefore making me swerve into the next lane and honk and then I end up getting the finger?

my car just came outta the shop for about 2 weeks and i almost got in another accident this morning on the way to work.. again i totally had right of way and there was that big ol lime for me. so...it was red, i stopped... the light turned green so i went st8 and about half way into the intersection this stupid chinese lady with her audi a4 who was on my right side wanted to make a right, she passed the crosswalk line then she went OOPS, slams on her brakes and everyone that passed just stared at her to prove it once again, asian woman cant drive. why did i say chinese in specific? she had that chinese look and my previous accident was 1 block from that interesection and to me, it looked like the same lady that i hit but it was not my fault. if it was her again and i hit here once more... lmao, i get my car fixed again by her for free and again it will be on the right front.

i remember i was cut off near the fwy exit by a container driver once and then he decided to run the red (nothing close to yellow), he got pulled over within the next 5 sec cuz there was a bike cop that just exited the fwy.
