Ok, I have finally been completely polluted by Korean boy-bands, so I'm trying to teach myself Korean.

I just did lesson one on a website, and I had a question about this phrase:

밥을 먹어요

I had the romanized version as such:
pabool mog o yo

But the answer section said it was pabool mog GO yo

Why is the sound go? Shouldn't it be just o since the is meant to be silent when it's the first constonant in a syllable?
Also, how do you know when to use a "p" or "b" when you see?
Because in the phrase I have above could technically be pap/pab/bap/bab (according to what my online website taught me)

Thanks guys :3

ㅂ = usually romanized as 'B'
ㅍ= usually romanized as 'P'

먹어
ㄱ + 어 = when speaking, these two are put together.
When writing, yes, it's separate because that's the proper spelling.
However, it's awkward when you put 'ㅇ' by itself, so, like I said, when speaking, ㄱ + 어 = 거

If you put 'ㅇ' by itself when romanized, it would be like saying, bapeul moguhyo.
Not bapeul mog/pause/ uh yo.
Because that sounds really awkward. If you put it by itself, the ㄱ would sound like a k instead of a g sound.
And I suck at romanizing, so what I just said might not be correct, but everything else is pretty much the reason why 'ㅇ' is not romanized by itself.
Are we human or are we dancer?

It's pronounced
바블 머거요
Korean has sound shifts, like liasons in French.
