Well, what I am really trying to say is...when the cashier charge you the wrong amount;
Would you go back to the store and get your change?

I did and I went back twice. I felt bad but I give them more and plus they overcharged me too.
They had a 30% off sale for everything in the store. At the end, I was still short 0.56 cents. Total change I got was 17.21 but the actual change was 17.77.

Did this ever happened to you?

i always go back if they gave me more change. i believe in karma from my previous experiences and i just know that i will lose money in the future if i somehow got extra money i did not deserve. i feel really good about doing this and people usually thank me for my honesty. there were times i found extra stuff and i was told to keep the items for free for being so honest. so yeah, i may walk back to the store slower with a larger amount, but i definitely give back the extra change. smile.gif

as for getting less change, i usually just leave because i don't think the time is worth it. i often find wrong prices being scanned while waiting at the register but i don't say anything because i don't wanna waste the time of people waiting behind me.. (i need to put myself before others for once.. lol). and for the time and energy i spend for arguing for the small change i did not get, i probably make much more at work.. so i don't usually bring it up unless it's a lot of money. i really hate it when people in front of me take forever to argue about prices at the checkout only to be proven wrong.. i sometimes just wanna walk up to them and pay for the difference.

Yes.

I want my money back if i over paid for something. I keep the customer waiting if I noticed a price difference something and over charged them... it's kind of unfair and I had customers come back complaining and pinkberrying at me for over charging them.

If it's really little like a few cents there's no point going back.
If it's like $3+ I would go back.

Usually if it's more than $1 I would go back, especially if it means their drawer would be short.

this only happened to me once in which that i found out i was one dollar short the MOMENT i stepped out of the store. i was so tempted to go back and tell them i was short but there was no way to prove it as i had lots of one dollar bills on me. i decided to not take the effort in trying to prove myself just for a dollar. (i still couldn't stop thinking about it though for the whole day >.<)

and so like from now on i think i would go back and get the right amount of change back to me... but then thing is... if i was given more money than i should.. would i go back and tell them? >.>... that got me to thinking too so i'm not sure anymore. i just know that from now on i'll always check my change on the spot and whether i get more or less money... i would tell them.

I wouldn't sweat it over a few cents, or even a dollar.
Maybe like $5+ I would go back.

One guy actually pocketed that surplus amount he charged, so I completely destroyed him by making a ruckus.
Who cares if he lost his job cause he decided to cash in a little tip?

If it's by a few cents, then I'm not going to care. But a 1+, yes. I'll probably go back.

Yes.

Although it is embarassing for the cashier (I work at my parent's as cashier, I know how it feels XD) but I think I would go back if it is more than 1...lol

Once I bought a CD and they should have given me 15 back as it was written on the bill but she just gave me 10. Luckily I noticed before I got out so I ran back to the cashier. Of course she denied it lol
Had to wait till the next day until it was confirmed by the comp... dry.gif

definitley!
I may sound cheap but lots of stores then give it to you for free, and another one. 2 for nothing. Yay. Unless it's 5cents or something, it's just how it's rounded.

I always check my change right when they give it to me to see if I'm not missing any money or if they gave me more than they should've.
If I got the change wrong, I tell the cashier, even if it's just a few cents.

I don't really care if they give me too much change, but if they overcharge, then that's when I care.

Money is money, I would care! I paid for my item! I wouldn't want to pay a dollar more

It depends on how much.
If it's a few cents, no.
If it's $1+, yes.
