For my KBO forum, I made up this little chart of stats for 2005 for players in the KBO and Japan. MLB players and stats are not included.

it's going to be hard for korea to come out of their group. they have both japan and taiwan who are supposed to be the asian powerhouses. and the koreans bat have no pop, except at first base(which is why they carry 3 1st basemen) in otherwords, they're going to have to win with small ball and pitching, and i don't know if the pitching will hold up.

^right, that's what i assumed, but my dad and his friends (all gung-ho koreans) believe that it'll be hard, and taiwan has been an underrated powerhouse for years. I don't know, just something i've heard. you can maim me if i'm wrong

Hopefully korea can get revenge over the olympic lost to taipei the other year...

The US team added Al Leiter to the roster. That's not a good sign. ph34r.gif

What time does the game start in your coast area? out here in the west coast, Taipei vs. Korea starts at 11 to 1am.
I'll probably just TiVO the thing since I get up at 5:30am everyday for my daily workout.I'll just watch it when I get back in the morning.

^ yes, but they won in a shutout. and i like the way they played small ball. relied on their pitching prowess to get them through the game.
