This strangely happened to me numerous of times.
Either I'm horribly bad at reading people...or Buddha is having a blast messing around with me.
For instance...Yesterday, a good friend and I became close and we were talking about our problems.
To lighten the mood, I decided to tell him who I liked, because the timing just seemed right.
The guy I liked was one of his close friends too and I was hoping he would offer his assistance in hooking us up...(which he did)
I figured he would burst out laughing like my 5 or so other friends.
People seemed to have found it pretty hilarious that I liked that one guy.
So...Our MSN conversation was something like this...
Me: Hey, I'm going to be a little random, okay? Do you trust me?
Him: Yeah, I do. From the bottom of my heart. No lie.
Me: Good. 'Cause I trust you too. I'm just gonna say it, okay?
Me: Brace yourself, because you'll probably start laughing like every other person.
Me: I like (insert person's name here).
Me: LOL! Cue the laughter!
=a good 5 minutes later=
Him: NO!
Him: DON'T LIE!
Him: WHY F_______(and yes, he did swore) [insert person's name here]?!
And this was me in front of my computer after he said that >>
He didn't laugh at all. If anything, he sounded even more angry than before.
Turns out he was just stunned that I liked him.
Because the guy I like is a very ordinary guy. Average in all categories.
There was another time when a friend asked me what I did on this day.
He clearly liked me very much. I did a very low blow and teased him.
"I saw my boyfriend today." I was just joking. I didn't have a boyfriend.
After a long moment of silence from him, I laughed and told him I was kidding.
Especially when the person is seriously interested in you.
He got really mad and turned uber serious on me. Didn't talk to me for a while.
Had to admit though. I kind of had that one coming to me. I was being a little inconsiderate.
So...Anything like that happened to you before?
