i just bought a CD/ipod player (CD Micro System with Universal iPod Dock)yesterday. this is how it look like





ok , here's the problem
i connected the speakers into the micro system but when i tried open a cd, there's no sound coming out at all = it's not working. i've tried changing the wire around but same result i read the user guide book but i did what it said and there this topic called " Connecting the FM Aerial and MW Antenna" which i'm clueless about and i'm really stuck now

has anyone ever bought this? please help

Let's eliminate the basics first:

1. Make sure the system has power and is on.
2. Make sure the iPod is securely in the dock.
3. Make sure the iPod is not muted/and sound is up
4. Make sure the sound system is not muted and volume is up
5. Try switching wire again after making sure volume is up.
6. Check to see if the sound system has to be in a specific "mode" to play the sound for the iPod

The FM aerial should not affect the iPod using the speakers as it's sound output, as it should be for using the system as a radio.
