this is kind of a dumb question, but are HD tv rips(which i assume are 720p?) better quality than regular dvd(which as far as i know, is 480p)? i'm just wondering if the fact that it's from the tv degrades the quality in any way. i'm wondering if it's worth buying anime dvds for better quality when they are originally broadcast in HD. i guess it's easy to tell between quality for regular tv shows, but not so much for anime...
