i'm 15 years old, and i'm 5'2... and i wanna get taller ;__;

i know it probably has a lot to do with genetics... since my mom stopped growing at 5'3... but my dad and sister are so tall! my dad is like 6'2..

its very possible that i just got stuck with my mom's genes... but i was just wondering if anyone got any growth spurt when they were 15 or older, just in case there's still some hope for me!

I got mine when I was around 14? I'm still growing though, you should too if you're younger than me.

You grow until you're 18 wasn't it? Males early 20s?

Hahaaa, I'm so short. I'm only 5'0.

I hope to god I have a late growth spurt. I'm turning 17 in April.

Does anyone know if vitamens help at all? I mean, sure there good for your body, but really any benefit towards growing?

Girls start growing earlier (middle school), but stop sooner while guys don't even grow until they're around 13 (last year of middle school to high school). Idk it may be genetics..

My family...
father- 5'6''
mother-5'3''
younger bro- 5'6'' (13, still growing a lot)
older sister- 5'0'' (17 stopped growing in middle school (i think..))
me- 5'6'' (15 stopped growing around 8th/freshmen yr)

So yeah.. my family is pretty random at height (i'm korean fyi)

Not to worry for all the maleyour people that are afraid
Males stop growing until they are about 21.
Although some stop growing until even 25.
For those of you who didnt experience their growth spurt yet, it will come.
And for the ones that want to be taller even though they had their growth spurt already, it's possible, yes.
You can still grow height even if your 18 or above.
Keep your bones strong, drink your milk, eat healthy daily, and excersise as in bike, sprinting, etc (but dont lift weights or squad too much)
And girls about the age of 18. =D

I didn't exactly get a growth spurt..but I do know that I've grown an at least an inch since 1 year after I graduated HS (I was measured at the clinic and by my older brother). I went from 5'4 - 5'5. I was 19 at the time...I actually feel taller lately..so maybe I've gotten a little taller? btw I just turned 20

now that I think about it my mom said she grew when she had my brother..she was 26 at the time (5'9). My dad was 6'1...so maybe I have more growing to do? lol

When I got to a certain age ( around 13 or so) I seemed to have met I constant height, but at that point I was taller than alot of other students.

I've grown a bit in the past few years (5'7 to 5'8.5?), and I'm 19. My growth spurt was around junior high, though... I don't think it's common for girls to grow all that much in their late teens, but you might still have a few more inches in you. Treat your body well; it might not make you grow but it won't hurt any tongue.gif. Sometimes I'll look taller after just one night of sleeping really well (I'm kind of joking... buuut while I don't have data to support this or anything, getting enough sleep probably is a big factor?).

Oh and my dad is around 6' and my mom is maybe 5'5.

I'm the same height as I was when I was 13, but I had a horizontal growth spurt in my late teens. sleep.gif
