One of my friend had an LG (but not cookie sorry...) that fell into a lake, it took 10 minutes to get it!
so she used a hair dryer to dry it, once it was all dried she turned on the phone and worked!
but one of the main button didn't work... at least the phone worked!

Is the LG cookie a girls phone? it seems as though only girls own it..

I hate how only the korean ver. have a camera on the front for video calling, it looks so much better with one on the front.

Can the LG cookie read korean aswell as being able to type it?

I don't really need the typing but the reading (hell yea)

omg since you mentioned the samsung star.. (wasn't kim yuna in a cf for it?) anyways the korean ver. looks better aswell (camera on the front)

i'm really contemplating which phone I should get now:

1. LG cookie (white/blue)
2. LG viewty (white)
3. Samsung star (white)

yes I have a thing for the colour white

Price isn't really an issue because I can get it for my b'day ^^

This has seriously influenced my choice now

however because I live in the UK things might be different because we have different names for phones from what I can see..

finally, isn't there a qwerty keyboard on it? like if you tilt it sideways or something? probably gonna get this phone ^^

do any of you guys like it's a bit girly? i'm a guy but I want the white/blue striped one

^ Yup, there is a qwerty board when you tilt it to the left. :] lol & as long as you stick with the white/blue (which by the way is absolutely hot!) or the black i thinks its manly enough

So... it's established that this sim card

... will not work with the LG Cookie... right?

I went to numerous cellphone shops in Chinatown NYC, and they said that it will work.
But the fact that they have to oversee so many different phones, I shouldn't listen to them... right?

**Please give me feedback for those who are AT&T users and are using LG Cookie.

does anyone find the response rate of the cookie slow?

i was watching a review of it on youtube and when the guy presses some of the buttons in, it takes a few secs to actually respond to the command.. kinda leaning towards the viewty now

but so many people have it

but not many have the white one ^^

Just got one today

Decided to get the white/blue one cause I see the pink one everywhere.
Too bad i didn't read this thread before buying it. Just found out I can't change the theme... pooop.
But I still really like it, despite how it's kinda laggy.

It's silver D:
Took awhile to learn what to do with it but it was fun lol.
We spent $180 for it unlocked and it's working just fine 8D

I can't seem to connect my phone to my computer :[ Anyone has a solution to this? I've been using the memory card adaptor to add stuff in, but I still want it to work with the USB cable.

And as for my review so far, this phone is a perfect low-cost touch phone that looks good and is fun to play around with. It's probably not the best choice for anyone looking for something too high-tech, but its fuctions are great for kids who just wanna mess around with a nice phone. The photo editor is probably one of my favs :]

I'll answer my own question since no one was helping anyways and just seem to answer other questions instead. (-___-)
If you have the above sim card which is fairly new and it is the 3G version of the AT&T sim card.

IT WILL NOT WORK DESPITE THE FACT THAT IT IS UNLOCKED.
YOU MUST HAVE A 2G AT&T SIM CARD OR A T-MOBILE PLAN

^^yeah sorry about that. I have tmobile so i wouldnt know the answer.

well I just finished updating the firmware on my cookie, and am now running version V10y
So far havent noticed any differences except its a lot less laggy than before. I thought the new firmware would let me change themes! lol
