I am conducting a short survey for one of my classes on new media. In this class we are studying different types of social media that are hot today. I chose soompi because I prefer the community here. Everyone is very supportive of everyone else.

Not necessarily addicted; I could live without visiting. I log on depending on how bored I am.

My friends used to call me by their nickname. It filipino, it means older brother with my first and last name initals.

MSN, just to talk to my friends. Also Myspace to catch up with people

I guess you can say I am. I go here when I have free time which its pretty much everyday. I think I leave my computer on all day logged on.

I'd recommend this site to anyone who is interested in Asian culture/entertainment.

Octavian came from a book series where the school was called Octavian Country Day. I always liked the first part and just put 4 because I like even numbers.

I like that I feel 'connected' with other users even behind the anonymity of the internet because all of us are somewhat... entranced by Asian culture and follow certain trends that are prevalent in Asian countries even if we aren't living in those countries. Also, there just aren't many forums this big that are geared towards Asian Americans.

There's no 'deep meaning' behind it.

YOUTUBE, too much.
I'm over social networking sites.

I could do without the socializing aspect of it because there are so many other networks for that, but I love the entertainment value of Soompi.

Sort of. I only really like to log on at night when I find that most people are on, but I might log on several times during the day because I know that certain threads are always active.
