But I hope you're not completely gone from cfensi.
OOOH, internationalpirates is on youtube, I seriously that it was that LJ user who replied to your Meteor Shower post in Aiyatheydidn't.
Dude I'm just too tired...I was too tired to both post on Cfensi, and answer comments in paragraph form back when I had the time, and I'm too tired now to debate here when I don't have the time.
On aiya it was a Chinese person who actually watched some Chinese series, but not all of them...In contrast internationalpirate is someone who actually doesn't seem to know any Chinese series besides ancient. He (he bc he goes by the name JohnDoe at the site I just saw him at..spctv) was saying Meteor Shower's scenery sucked, and that Chinese dramas don't know how to film rich people compared to Korean series....
And that was just like wtf...did you not see the furniture in An Xiang, and their cars? And boats? etc, etc? The furniture in An Xiang was droolworthy...they looked richer than in BOF. And Sanya is way too pretty too be called anything less than stellar scenery.
Part of his impression is due to the fact that the forum he's at (spcnet) only talks about Chinese ancient series. Some people have tried getting threads started about the really good Chinese modern series that have come out, like Soldier Sortie and stuff, but they always die quickly, while any series about ancient series are a mile long . It's frustrating as hell.
Edit: Oh you just came out and said it directly huh brightlight?
Basically, xingjing/ A. the audience that you are talking to is not the one at Cfensi. The one at Cfensi has already been deluged by the amount of variety in Chinese series...particularly modern ones, because I've talked about the ones I've been interested in sporadically.
Whereas here, maybe only you, me, brightlight, yelei and julie know what other good Chinese series there are. Even hoistdacolors thinks there's mostly bad Chinese series.
Although I disagree with Brightlight on one thing. I don't think that Kpop is that much more developed than Cpop....and Cpop has much more diversity than Kpop. The thing is, since South Korea actively tries to push its series/music outward into other markets and appeals to more westernized tastes, its popular, and its popularity makes it seem as if it's developed.
But the fact is, it is well-known and rather pervasive in all communities, and thus different from Cpop. If you say something bad about Kpop for example...people will have already formed ideas about it (GDragon can't be a plagiarizer bc he's awesome and inventive and all the haters can go to the left!1!1!). Whereas you can say one negative thing about Cpop and that will likely be the only thing people hear about it (Liu Zhenghao...(is that his name?) is the representative of all Cpop!.Nevermind that he isn't famous at all in China...he must represent Chinese musicians...plagiarizers...the lot of em!111)
Btw...Thank you for the vids hurtwou!
