Whoa.. too many pages. All because I ditched this for Dark Knight [and Mulan!! for like the 50th time], and then ditched this for a Macy's one-day sale this morning [ROFL].

Though last night I did catch up through halfway of episode 18. All of the Super Girls stuff has had me with renewed interest - I think after Pan Hongyue left I was pretty much "wtf?!" about the entire thing. But this duet stuff sounds like a lot of fun, LOL.

Okay, back to MS. I forget who I was arguing about whether it was "right" for Yunhai to sort of "go behind Duanmu's back" in his pursuit of Yuxun after his supposed Australian flight disappearance. For that, I have a quote from the episode where Yunhai comes back: "This time I know what I want, and I'm going to fight to earn it." Again, that's not verbatim, but you get the point. After Yunhai randomly decides to walk off [my journalism nose is asking, what did he do in those hours of disappearance? Sit in a field and just "ponder" like The Thinker??], he's realized that unlike his childish whims before, which he concluded were meaningless, he's going to fight for something that has meaning to him.

In other words, Yunhai's going all-out to try to fight for the love of his life. Which is admirable. And a little questionable when it comes to considering the fact that he's going after the girl that is his friend's now girlfriend.

Remember that discussion about Yuxun trying to make things work to be with Duanmu? Even though these 2 are clearly incompatible? If Yuxun is doing that out of a will to fight for her version of happiness, why can't Yunhai? Why are we only looking at Yunhai's "faults" - though I seriously don't think he's really just "going behind Duanmu's back." And why isn't Yuxun to blame for this? If she seriously wanted to just be with Duanmu, she, as the official girlfriend of Duanmu, should have responsibly and seriously rejected Yunhai. Because clearly he is still interested in her. And instead of rejecting that stream of emotions, she sometimes even invites that.

Lost track of thoughts again. Shoot, this is what afternoon naps do to you - your head becomes all fuzzy right after you wake up. I was going to say something else, but I completely forgot. Damnit.

^ I agree completely with you. And honestly, I think what YH did isn't any worse than how DML sorta threw away their friendship for YX (when he didn't even really have true feelings for her). It really depends how you look at it, but I'd say it's a fair game when it comes to love, especially when you're dealing with someone like YX who doesn't even know what she wants.

Yeah, unless ZS recorded a 2nd version w/ a less heavy accent xD, I'm pretty it's not her singing. I wonder if they will have a 2nd one though. I remember this song by a male singer playing in one of the episodes and thought it was really nice. If it's an original then they should include it in the 2nd OST (if there will be one).

xingjing: I don't think it's anyone's fault, because technically you don't need someone else's permission to chase after a girl right? Even if she has a boyfriend already. I mean if the dude wins, that just shows that she didn't like you in the first place and should be with you. Although I feel Yuxun is not to blame either. To me, she's made it pretty clear to Yunhai that she doesn't like him, and it's not her fault that he keeps pursuing. And she has every intention on becoming friends, which he sees as her liking him.

gingerpeach: It would be nice to have a second sountrack. Would love to hear more from Wei Chen and Haoming.

In my opinion, I don't think Yuxun's ever made it clear that she's wanted to be friends only. Because she's said it so many times and received the same outcome every time, too: Yunhai always misinterprets the words. If she were seriously considering her relationship with Duanmu, she should have realized that only telling Yunhai she wants to be friends is not working. I mean, even Pavlov's dog learned after a few times - how can Yuxun not have?

There are ways to approach the matter tactfully on Yuxun's side, but she either doesn't know how to or simply can't. It actually will probably end up being the former - her EQ is definitely below average.

^Lol but isn't she suppose to be the smartest at the school. I think her hesitance comes from not really knowing what she wants or who she likes. She thinks she likes Duanmu and that he can bring her happiness, but in reality we all know she likes Yunhai, but is unwilling to admit that to herself. I think when it comes to "ai qing," there's never a wrong or right in this case. I can understand Yuxun for feeling the way she does, so I don't really blame her for seeing Duanmu as the more reliable one. But at this point though, she better see that she actually likes Yunhai or else she really is a little confused ..... book smart and not street smart....lol It's almost like she can't come in tune with her own feelings.
