Aww, that trailer was my favorite by far. Even all the dubs sounded great (probably because there was no shouting).

I have to hand it to Zheng Shuang...even if she ends up only being the third best "Makino", her acting is really good for an 18-year old. Her eyes and eyebrows are really expressive. After she finishes up her studies at the Beijing Film Academy and polishes up that acting, matures a bit, she'll be great.

Zhu Zixiao is rather naturally good too...I hope he'll take some acting classes in the future.


Question: Is anyone planning on watching this tomorrow as it airs?

If so I was wondering if you guys wanted to do a live blog commenting? I did it with brightlight when Hunan TV's New Years Concert occurred, and even though that sucked and we probably should have watched Jiangsu TV's instead, it was pretty fun giving our opinions every few seconds. I wish I still had that transcript.

That 16min trailer was pretty good. Xiaoyu...I envy you so much. Zhu Zixiao should be in more films/dramas in the future, I think he's a natural. (He's so different from his character in real life)
Wei Chen is an awesome actor as well, those fighting scenes with jerry huang were very good.

The storyline seems to be different from the previous ones, and the actors fit perfectly with the character's age. Personally, I do believe they are students .

Oh, I think I got his real family and fake one mixed up. I know he went oversea, but I wasn't sure for how long. So in the drama, he's a ABC (Australian Born Chinese), is that right?

This is going to be another open post, for discussion about the drama as it airs this Saturaday at 10:30pm Beijing Time on Hunan TV.

For those of us without Hunan TV (or friends who do that we can convince to “watch meteor shower together” with) but want to watch the drama live, the only way is through legal and not-so-legal online streaming sites. Here’s a compilation of ways to watch Meteor Shower online.

But before that, cfensi wants to pimp Brickwall, who is doing Chinese Paladin 3 recaps.

1. TVU
This is the fastest online streaming of Hunan TV I know of. Cfensi and I watched the New Year’s show on here. You can download the software for free here, and then simply search for Hunan TV in the bar.

2. Mango TV
Mango TV is fairly fast and one of the more HQ video-streaming softwares. In addition to live streaming, it also has videos of older episodes of Hunan shows. This also requires a software download here.

3. PP Stream
The most popular Chinese online viewing program. I find it a bit too slow for me during peak Chinese times, but this also has the biggest selection of on-demand dramas and movies. Download it here.

4. tvants
Worst video quality, but has the greatest variety of live TV channels. I watched the Olympics on this. You can download it here, but I would advise caution on this one since I can’t find the site I downloaded from and thus doesn’t know the safety of this link.

Does anyone have a video of when Zhang Han and Zhu Zixiao interviewed the Supergirls? I love that vid...both of them completely opened up in it, especially Zhang Han.

Is releasing the main romantic scenes (which are often long anticipated) so early a good idea? Granted, this does have over 30 episodes, so I guess there is still a lot of stuff they haven't released...

And I see some blatant similarities between this and the HYD manga... Though they might just be common features in idol dramas.

Don't get me wrong; I'm not flaming or anything ^^;. Just stating my observations. Regardless, I like the acting, don't see anything wrong with the dubs (apart from what I interpret as a high pitched voice in the female lead), and am really really REALLY looking forward to when the first episode is subbed ^^. Thanks again to whoever is doing so.
