Methai Has anyone ever tried these sweets before?

I have a huge craving for methai right now, but I don't know of any stores where I live that carry it... tears.gif






For those of you who haven't heard of it, "methai" are Indian sweets. I was introduced to it a few years back and I've been obsessed with it ever since!



Has anyone ever had kulfi (ice cream) before? It's SO GOOD...but it's so fattening sweatingbullets.gif

Anyone else ever tried any of these before? blush.gif

lol my dad's side eats them after fancy tea or dinner (with guests usually). it's so heavy and oversweet! T_____T though i do like select types from time to time... but kulfi is the best :3

Yes, I've had it before. I'm not a huge fan of it. But I do like gulab jamun (doughnut in sweet syrup), jalebi (funnel cake dipped in simple syrup), and kheer (rice pudding)...and kulfi is very good I prefer pista kulfi (pistachio flavored).

If you live near any Indian store you can get methai there. Just google Indian stores in your area.

In Singapore,we have Little India and there's a store selling all these sweets!
I go there once in a while..Most of them are up to my liking..

I tried it before at my Indian friend's sweet sixteen. The one she gave out..eh I don't like very much. I did like this one dessert though, but donno what it's called.

oo i've tried them before but i often find them too sweet/rich for me
i like the white one and it comes in like..a sorta cream/milk...dunno what it's called
