Hummm, I just wanna say that Oricon has changed their way of counting the sales since the beginning of this month.
so, basicly, the 54,243 is almost the real sales number, it doesn't need to multiply 1.75~~1.80 like before. which means Survivor's first day sells less than Bolero's first day......

Bolero's 1st day sales without multiplying it to 1.75 is around 35K while Survivor's is 54K. Isn't it better if we'll compare it that way?

Because it's unfair for Survivor's sales that we'll compare it with Bolero multiplied by 1.75.

Anyway, Congrats boys!! It's better than what I expected. 54K baby! Then I suddenly remind myself that it will no longer be multiplied by 1.75.

Wow I am actually REALLY amazed that Survivor did so well (3rd place and over 50K) on the first day considering:

1. They are literally up against some of the most well established and best selling artists in Japan
2. The Survivor song itself is not that great... my opinion, of course, I love the boys not the song XD
3. The Survivor song is gonna be included in their Secret Code Album anyway
4. Their Secret Code album is gonna be released soon so a lot of fans are probably saving up/waiting to buy that instead

So in other words, I AM IMPRESSED AND HAPPY. DBSK are up against the big guys for the first time and they are not doing bad at all
(plus, let's not forget that Ninki predicted that they would get 5th... and I too am surprised that they sold more than GReeeN)

Agreed with everything above, except I do love the Survivor song, even though I admit it's not that great. Anyways, really surprised they did so awesomely well, going against the big guys. After all through their hard work, we can honestly say that it paid off, and they really deserved this. Now, I'm just worried what's going to happen for the week. But, I'm still glad and excited and freakingly ecstatic they got third.

Congrats boys, this is actually just the beginning of your history. Keep your chin up, you know you're practically legends already.

Although I don't know much about figures and sales, I think it's quite good..cause they're competing like with the most popular native boy band in the country rite..native boy band??..keke..sorry for the random adjectives..I think topping the oricon chart for 5 times had prepared them quite a solid base for their position in Japan..(is 5 times correct? I'm quite bad at remembering numbers =P)..they'll be bigger in future and probably can beat even the most popular band in the country..^^..of course

Just want to share a small interesting info. Does anyone here know Kim Yu Na, the girl who was voted as the most influential Korean celeb in 2008? Well, she said that she liked DBSK in some interview before and today when I read SJ's thread, i found this :

She has Kiss Sh!ta mama Sayonara as her music background. Koreans don't listen to Jpop in generally so I guess she's their big fan .

This is the girl that 2U cheered for in hahaha song rite?..if she listens to Kiss Sh!ta mama Sayonara, I think she must be really a DBSK fan then..because that song was not really promoted widely..I think mostly, only DBSK die hard fans love this song so much..wow..she must be happy that DBSK cheered for her in the Hahaha song.. =)

This is random but I want to say that sometimes I envy DBSK cause they get to eat lots of "OISHI FOOD"..^^..I think they must've recorded this right before they parted for the album promotions because their outfits are the same as in the pics..lol..this is the hairstyle which some people think Yoochun gained weight, look old and chubby..I think he still look cute..^^..maybe it didn't turn out good in the pics..but yes maybe shorter hair is more preferable..^^

Personal observation..Changmin may be the most fluent in Japanaese in terms of vocabulary, I've always felt that Yoochun speaks like a Japanese the most.. His tone, speed and flow always makes me think "Wow.. he's good"

Personal observation too..I think Yoochun is generaly quite good in languages..I've read several comments that Yoochun's Japanese accent is quite good..and I've read in sharingyoochun that he has the best Thai's accent too..not sure about Chinese accent though..when they held press conference in Malaysia in 2007 for the "O" concert, they said some Malay words..Homin got mixed up some Japanese and Malay language when they tried to introduce their self in Malay as they inserted the "des" too..lol..but Yoochun speak perfect Malay.."Nama saya Micky" (My name is Micky)..no Korean accent at all..and when he says "Aku cinta kamu" (I love you)..~dies~..his voice and accent is really good..^^..and of course, although fobberish or anything, we do know that he has some sexy English skills as well =P

Umm what are you talking about?
Before Oricon uses an index where you have to multiply by 1.7 to get the actual sales, but now they just display the real sales figures.

Bolero sold 70,000+ on its first day whereas survivor sold 54,000+ which is quite good actually

Just to clear things up with the oricon charts,
nothing has changed.
The only thing different is back then we had to multiply the daily sales by 1.75
But now oricon is doing it for us.
Like the sales they put up now has been mutiply by 1.75 already.
Its actually less work for us.
