i know there are people out there who have been studying for these tests for years,
and others that don't study at all and manage to do extremely well,
but overall, how long did you spend prepping for the ACT/SAT before exam day?
(or other tests, like the SAT II's and/or AP exams)

and depending on how much time you spent preparing for the test, were you satisfied with the score you got?

any feedback would be great. (:

well, my exams cant be studied in before hand so I guess that I have to study something else to prepare for what I think my exams would contain.

I took random sat classes way before I needed them just to get a feel of what SAT was like.
So excluding that, it took me about 2 years to get to an OK score. I'm satisfied but I think I could have done better. and, btw, I'm one of those types that SUCKKKKK at testing/tests in general.
so for slow people like me, it took me some time. Oh, but 2 years as in 2 summers. I didn't have time to study during school.

But overall, I think I didn't really need to take those earlier classes. For SAT, I think it just takes time to get better naturally. At the end of every school year, I feel more and more enlightened? My last SAT class session + "becoming more erudite" = boosts about 200 points. for me. But sdlfkhj I'm kind of being vague - so if you have questions about a specific section I can be more elaborate than this. hah but this is basically just my experience w/ the test overall.

I always procrastinate but my tutors tell me I could only study like 20 minutes each day for a week before the test and just get an early sleep on the night before the test.

I spent a lot of time and MONEY on these tests. I wasn't really satisfied though with my scores though.

I knew a bunch of people who didn't study at all and didn't even care and get 2000+ on their SAT's. It just goes to show that it also depends on what type of test taker you are .

Hmm.... I'm usually not THAT happy with my scores but considering the time i spent studying was like about 1 and a half weeks... I'm pretty satisfied that i got what i studied... happy.gif
