Nothing, just people who are closed minded and claim they "know" everything. rolleyes.gif (its my opinion don't bash)

On the positive note, at least Makaveli and Kinein are helping people who want to lose weight or gain mass in the healthy and fitness section.

Nothing really but just how sensitive people are in this forum.

My original intention was to find more Korean music that I didn't already know but sadly that didn't happen. Its either this or watching the SciFI channel and that is just torment. I haven't really explore this site enough I'm to lazy. laugh.gif

I've learned so much in the Beauty/Health forum which I am most active on, I rarely visit the other ones vicx.gif hehe so many product recommendations... I can just pick and choose!
I've had a lot of fun visiting random people's blogs smile.gif

On many threads especially the Beauty/Health forum, people loooove to fish for compliments. This is probably true in the 411 section but I rarely ever visit anymore because it annoys me like no other.

Also, when people post topics that are against the norm, not even really off just a little bit different, others will go bezerk on them! It's as if you've insulted their family when you disagree with something they like. And even little comments are said to be "rude" and "insulting" when the person is just trying to express their own opinion.

And how. It's kind of ridiculous. I used to think it was only the younger girls but then I'll click on the profile and see women my age crying and moaning about stupid stuff. I guess I always knew girls my age were like this but this forum just kind of put paid to it.

Sorry for bumping a 25ish day old thread but it's my 1000th post and I wanted it to be special.

I've learned that young people have so much to learn. You guys say people are too sensitive and don't accept opinions, but think about it when we were 16 we acted the same way. I used to read articles and immediately go "yes this is right I agree" but then read something else on the same topic and agree to that, and kept flip flopping until I left for university and I realized that nobody is right. Scholars simply give their own opinions and you are free to disagree (and I do!). When I was young I didn't know how to accept different opinions, and neither do most people on soompi.

I've learned that the love and relationships section is not stupid. I used to think it was and all questions are the same and people need to move on but then I met and lost a girl and I found the opinions really helpful. It made me feel less frustrated. People posting back to you makes you feel like somebody listened. And that's all I wanted. Originally I was going to make my 1000th post my girl story but then I typed it out and thought "this is dumb" laugh.gif . I'm just an idiot for not letting go.

I've learned that the car section is stupid.

I've learned that people move on from soompi at some point. Adobokimchi, jihyunee, cindy (the singaporean lady), etc. were all veterans that used to post regularly but have grown up probably and are too preoccupied with life. Bunnylicious is probably one of the oldest members I know, I don't even remember most of the people that used to post. I've been on soompi for more than 9 years. Through high school and university I literally grew up on this site. One day I will probably leave too and not care about this place anymore but that's all part of life isn't it?

Happy 1000th post.

With the exception of a few posts, I only post here and in the Fashion sections. I've learned more about Asian brands and home remedies, and I've also learned that a lot of people on here are very closed-minded, which is why I tend to stick to this section only as of late.

and close-minded... well not really close minded but believe fairytales about things lols

But Its surprising to learn that some arent even like 14-16 ~ some are actually lik 18+ O_O makes me think... ok girl needs to grow up!

Yeah. I also learned that a lot of guys on here are really bitter towards girls. LOL. Maybe due to some past experience(s). But I find it really funny.

Yeah, I used to be all over the fashion thread, I learned a lot, but the closed-minded people bother me too much. I guess we all like to think we know everything. Sometimes they're just rude too, which is about 99% of the time unneccessary...

Especially with the supposed anonymity of the internet.

People here are really open about their personal problems here.. so at worst, they're overly sensy and tend to dwell on the little things. I mean, chillax. Seriously laugh.gif I've never seen this at any of the other forums I've visited.

But the upside is that sometimes, I'll have an issue that I'm dealing with and reading the forums will make me feel a little less alone. I guess it helps me to know that there are people in the exact situation as me.

I think it's a lot worse in the beauty section.

I've learned that people still do not know how to spell "definitely" properly...

I'm afraid that "definately" will start showing up in the dictionary someday.

You know, I've never noticed that mistake up until recently. I guess I'm just always prone to excuse the spelling mistake especially if it's not something major. Now that I've noticed it it's just plain annoying. crazy.gif

Anyways, I've learned that I've turned into a shopaholic because of Soompi. =(
