I noticed that lots of people are ignorant. Well Americans in general are as they are portrayed.

That reminds me of "colour" and I thought it was supposed to be spelled color. dry.gif

i learned that teenagers (or fangirls or whatever they are) nowadays are scary... and i also agree to those who said that they are not open to criticism come defending their favorite singers/actors/groups.
someone should shove the first amendment to their faces... not that they would know what their amendments are i don't think...

A lot of people have asian pride for all the wrong reasons.

A lot sympathize with a story when the victim is asian

A lot of race hate.

ABDC apparently has the worst season ever when an asian crew gets eliminated

QUOTE (Myss Blewm @ Aug 30 2009, 04:21 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Negatives:
-Fangirls and fanboys will spend 10,000 word space to tell you why you're flaming/support of something they like/dislike is WRONG, but will ignore your replies and continue to call you "stupid/racist/lame/buttface" repeatedly.
-Wanking is usually done by the youngin's but there are a few of the older folks who wank really badly. And I tend to think, "-___- And I thought you weren't one of those delusional people," when the oldies are wanking away.
-Apparently, Asians being racist = okay; any other kind of racism = really offensive and wrong.
-Looks>brains on the most part
-Terrible grammar is something people have grown used to or are forced to put up with.
-Being pale and really thin = beautiful
-No matter your race, age, sex, orientation, we all perceive rape differently.

Positives:
-Food section, specifically the "What I Baked/Cooked Today" thread, is a wonderful place to go and get new recipes to try out and get great tips on becoming a better cook.
-This is a great place to come whine about your life and not worry about people nosing in on your problems...in the 20+ section.
-The Love& Relationships section is fantastic for quality LOL time.

LOL on the L&R part! Anyways, when I was on soompi as a hs girl, I posted a lot. After soompi came back from its crash, I've pretty stopped posting and realized that opinions are basically omitted compared to the views of the mass population. Everything I Myss Blewn pretty much holds true in my opinion.

-I pretty much don't know how to work soompi anymore except for clicking into threads.
-Some people try hard to be different, but they're really not. They just look and sound bizarre in the process.
-"20 characters aksdjflksjdflks" huh.gif
-My friends pretty much make fun of me for still going to soompi (I've been here since I was 13).
Illusions never changed into something real

Well, you've taught me that some individuals can be crazy about seemingly-indistinguishable, hundred-dollar shoes.

You should check out theFashionspot, it is much crazier over there.

- I've just learned that Soompi is a K-pop forum, so other cultures aren't as important... Something like K-pop > everything else. I know the site was a K-pop forum in the beginning (k-pop for the masses), but over the time Soompi has grown into a more 'global' forum.

- I've also learned that a lot of Asians are racists against Asians. I never knew Koreans don't like Chinese. I always thought the hatered is between Japanese and Chinese.

- Ullzhangs are very good with photoshop.

a lot of what I was going to say has already been posted. But something else I learned,

how to IGNORE ignorant posts. But occasionally I still roll my eyes when I see a dumb thread/thread that's been made 5000 times already keep getting bumped up.

OMG this made me lol!
- I found friends on Soompi
- I love the Make Up and Nail Tutorials
- I love the Beauty/Skin Care advice

However:
- I find that it's a place where people can just brag about themselves and upload a gazzillion of oversized pics
- People will defend you, even if you don't know who they are because you posted on the "Critique my Appearance" Thread and couldn't take the criticism
- Fangirls actually believe that the celebrity will meet them and fall in love with them and they'll get married, have kids and live happily ever after.

I agree, the R&L thread is LOL and seems almost false and people just do it to take the piss.

I been here since.... what middle school? High school?

If anything, soompi taught me...........

1. You can always ask soompi peoples for opinions and ideas.
2. Soompi is a great place to vent.
3. Soompi is filled with immature, stupid, naive people
4. The world is like #3
5. I have learned A LOT about cars.
6. I am good at giving advice, but not taking it.
7. According to our 20+ dating thread, I will be single forever.
8. Writing these things is much more enjoyable when drunk
9. Tuffcore is the sh*t.
10. I can't get rid of my 20% ban
11. Zigie from the car forums is the coolest moderator.
12. Lots of people have problems
13. The 20+ section is just as immature as any other section
14. We are all here for entertainment/advice/giving advice
15. I troll soompi forums when I'm at work and bored.

I could go on, but I'm done for today.

If that's the case, then I think I've just learned that I'm the most fashionable person at FedEx Kinkos late at night when I'm perusing soompi on their computers.

1. That there are A LOT of youngin's roaming around here.
2. That because of #1, I feel extra old:-(
3. That the average person that is 13-18 years of age bakes better than I do, sadly. (I <3 the "Food" section)

That a soompi mod would close a thread for absolutely no reason and tell you not to argue about it.
