Well, I was 14 and they found out. I'm still with him right now and at first they definitely did not accept it at all. Now they're okay with it since we've been with each other for a long time. They realized that we can't stay away from each other <3

Lol, I slowly eased the idea of my boyfriend to my mom.
First I told her we were just really close friends, then I said I liked him.
Then I waited until she asked if we were together to tell her we were.

But she's completely okay with me dating. She just has to meet the guy first.

I think like a lot of Asian parents, they don't care as much for the boys as they do for the girls. For me, if I brought a girl over they would always tease me and call them my girlfriend even if they weren't. I think the first time I brought a girl over was when I was 12-13 to do homework...haha. I don't really introduce girls to my parents until we are on more of a serious level. So far, thats only three. Usually, I just say, "This is my gf."... nothing more. lol For my sisters it was hell though... they never introduced a guy.

i told my parents when i was 18 and its more like my mom found out cuz while paying the phone bills,
she noticed i kept calling some number haha but once she asked me i kinda just spilled the beans

i guess im lucky as i have very liberal asian parents
so my dad is like "meh" and is under the belief it some teenager phase and my mom is like 'watever, shes old enough to deal with it on her own' hahaha

I have a story for you!
My first boyfriend (when i was 14) I told my mom, and she started crying. This might sound ridiculous, and I did think so at first, but later I realized it was because my mom and I are very close, and she realized that I had grown up. oh, and I just told her straight out. Good luck!

lol, i was currently 15 and my parents are asian parents and i'm a girl (oh no! what to do?!)

I didn't have bf's til last year XD So my parents were always asking if I'd got a bf yet, like they were impatient XDD

I was 19 and I didn't actually tell them, they guessed I'd mentioned him before when we were still just friends and like, hanging out a lot (going to the movies, skating etc). He gets on well with my parents and my brothers ^^
As for his parents, his dad just asked him one time after he got home after seeing me "So. What's her name, then?"

Well, I've been with my boyfriend since I was 15 years old (I'm 19 now), so a lot of things have changed.

In the beginning, when I was 15 years old, I hid it from my parents because I knew that I wasn't allowed to date then. I guess they always kind of knew that we're dating? But whenever they ask, I kept telling them no, and since I don't admit to dating him, they don't exactly have any proof to yell at me or make us split up.

Gradually, my boyfriend kind of become a part of my family. He get along with my parents very well and I suppose that my parents kind of started to see that he's a good guy, and I'm not slipping in school. Around the time when I'm 16-17, my mom told me that she's ok if we're dating, because he's a good guy... just don't be stupid and get pregnant. So yeah, eventually, I admit to her that he's my boyfriend, but it's like telling her that the sky is blue... LOl, she already knew it.

It's kind of funny.. I just told them a few minutes ago..
My dad came into my room and saw the roses my S/O bought and he goes "I thought you were just friends" and I said "No.. he asked me out.."
My mom is asldkfjalsdf about it.. She grounded me and forbidden me to see him..
I'm not sure how my dad feels about it.. He just came into my room and stared at me for a while.. And then he goes, "Were you guys going to go out today?" -____-.. Wish my mom wouldn't be such a asldjfal;sjdf about it..
They obviously knew we were going out since we hung out so much, now they make it seem like it's the end of the world..
