Tiffany&co Bracelet What do you think?

I have this Tiffany's bracelet that my ex gave to me for our one year anniversary which I was looking at yesterday.
He engraved our initials and the day we started to go out. It's been sitting in its box for about two years.
I feel like it's a waste to have the bracelet sit in the box... it's a perfectly good to wear.
I just wanted to know what your opinions and thoughts about getting the engraving polished off... I don't think there is anything wrong with it.
Half of my friends are telling me that it is messed up while the other half says it's okay.
Your thoughts?

keep the bracelet and the engravings with it. you don't even have to wear it, if you don't want to.
that was the bracelet he gave you from his heart and with his money, because he loved you.
for you to throw it out... kind of harsh? >.< sorry
but i think you should keep it just so you remember all the good times with him.
i mean, you had lots of good times with him, right? keep the bracelet as a remembrance of those times.
polishing the engravings off would be like polishing your good times with him off your soul and memory.
you can do whatever with it.. it's your choice. but i think you can still wear it even if it has your engravings with him on it. unless you have a current boyfriend of course, then... no. but i think you should keep it, even if you don't wear it. just my opinion. you can do whatever ^^;;
well, hope you'll always remember him! because ex's aren't just someone in the past... they have part of your heart... because when you love someone, they have somewhere in their heart for you. you had a piece of your heart for him. when you broke up, he took that piece of you with him. your heart eventually healed and mended... but the scars are still there. he once had a part of you, and you had good times together. that bracelet is like a visual piece of your memory.
God bless~

I don't think theres anything wrong with removing the engraving, both of you probably moved on right?
But, I'll keep the bracelet with the engraving as memories.
It's up to you if you want to remove it or not, theres nothing wrong with it.

and your ex is a part of your past. that's extremely cold to polish off his engravings.
don't look at it as something your ex got you.
look at it as a gift from someone that once was very close to your heart.
even though you don't care for him the way you used to, you still care for him as a person RIGHT?

just go buy your own bracelet. or wait for someone else to give you one?
and like if you ever see your ex again and youre wearing it, there might be a misunderstanding so yeah.
but if you really want to wear it then go ahead.
PS. my boyfriend says that depending on the engraving, and whether or not you can polish it off, it's either expensive or not. He says to put a sticker photo (mini one) onto it. He's an idiot, I know.

But who cares? Oh, if he hurted you in the pass then just get rid off the engravings. Who gives a mini cooper if it's cold or what not.

I am not sure what I am going to do yet but we'll see.
Either way, I'll probably end up wearing it just because I feel okay to wear it now.
Since we both have moved on with our lives and whatnot.
