i have to say the 80's and the 00's.
the 80's because i'm just in love with the 80's.
neon, flash, synthetic pop, new wave; goodies!

00's because there's more variety, more experimentation.
but the problem with that is sometimes it doesn't flow well.
AND most of the music sound similar. it kind of goes both ways.

HOWEVER, to be honest, i love ALL the decades.

50's that's where it started.
We wouldn't be anywhere without the artists of the 50's.

DEFINITELY NOT the 80's, 90's, or 00's, those have just been terrible.

I'd say the 60's has been the best for music as far as advancement goes... but as far as the decade that has the most music I listen to is definitely 00's.

I can't really say which is the best decade for music. There are songs that I forget about from each of them.

well, from an economic standpoint, 80s would have to be the best decade as the 80s was the most profitable decade

90s.
I'm biased because I'm still stuck in 1998.

I think 50s and 60s music has been able to stand the test of time better than any other decades' music.. and that's how I define the "best" decade.

I, like PunchNine, am stuck in the 90s and am partial to 90s music! But only music from the first half of the 90s. After 95, it was all bubblegum pop.
current...

lmaos. one of the main reasons why music in the 00s isn't outstanding. Lot's of variety, but nothing memorable that comes to mind like the previous decades. I guess indie music is becoming pretty popular in recent years?

I'd say 80s. From the 80s, the king and queen of pop appeared. Michael Jackson and Madonna. Plus, Michael Jackson's Thriller is the biggest selling album of all time. ;D

80's were the most memorable and profitable =
Michael Jackson's thriller

But imo the 90's were the best
best in music, movies & tv shows

The 90's for me~ The best hip-hop and underground rock came out at that time imo.

I totally have to say the 50's - 80's. Mostly because I like how each genre that was popular has grown and changed from one to the next. I must say I'm a total fan of the late 70's early 80's music. 70's due to my love for Joy division as well as other punk music that came out then, and the 80's because I'm in love with new wave/industrial sounds that came out of that era.

Each decade has its ups and downs. But I love 70s cuz I grew up listening to my dad constantly play it. And the 90s because I still love my 90s, teenybopper songs, LOL. Oh, the boybands~ *heart heart heart*
always and forever seven

I was born in 87 so I say the 90's

You had hip hop and rock at its best. Music had a message and it had a feeling now its just market like sheep. 70's had disco and soul i like both
My skin maybe glass but my heart is made of steel you can pierce it,set it on fire, beat it with a sludge hammer but it will not falter, you can have my body, my mind, destroy my identity but not the soul that lies within me ,the female Warrior Spirit
