A while ago, one of my laptops got infected by AV360, a program that tricks you to think that your computer has viruses, when it is the actual virus itself. Anyway, I googled the directions to remove it and used Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to remove everything. Most of the problems I saw before went away, but something is still lurking. Malware won't detect any more problems, but every time I try to go to a website, this notification comes up below the URL bar (looks similar to those notifications that tell you that it just blocked a popup, yellowish color long bar) that says the website might contain viruses and to download AV360. How can I fully get rid of AV360 for good?

I work at the University of Phoenix in the tech support department, I come across this all the time with our High School (Insight School). I usually have them download and install MalwareBytes and it is pretty good at removing it from the machine. If that doesnt work we just walk them through a re-image.

Thanks so much for both your replies!
But my problem still hasn't been solved...
I've already tried to get it off using Malwarebytes, but even when that doesn't detect anything more, I can tell that something from AV360 is still on my computer.

Probably a BHO or whatever working with IE... Suspicious keys in registry stuck somewhere with IE... It's just my guess.
But to be sure, I'd like you to get HijackThis and scan with savelog and copy the result and post it here.
I'll tell you what could be wrong and where.

Just as I thought in my previous post...
Scan again with HijackThis and check the following:
O2 - BHO: &Research - {D263FA6D-84CC-48A8-9AF6-C664362B7A5B} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\winconfig.dll
The description of your problem while navigating the internet made me think right away it must be one of your BHO.
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions present
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present
I really doubt those two 06 were some keys created by you... I'd be wondering why...
After you have checked all 3 of them, click FIX CHECKED.
Test.
Is the problem still there?
