because i have braces and all of a sudden i got an overbite.
its not hugee and all but my friend said they give you these elastics
that take away your overbite and lines up your jaw
i mean if they line up my jaw its fine but to make my teeth like lined up
eh i dont know how to explain like if my overbite is gone
i look retarted if my teeth touch together i look constipated and then look
like i have an underbite
anyways i like my overbite its not HUGE but removing will look bad
since you cant move your top jaw and moving my bottom forward would look weird.
so do you have to have these elastics? do/did you have the same problem?

Plus, as everyone said, not EVERYONE gets elastics, I didn't... my sister did for 4 months because they said her growth spurt caused an underbite.
I already got my braces off and I seriously feel like I still have an overbite, because my teeth aren't aligned, but everyone who's gotten their's off have told me that they also have that feeling, so don't worry.
____ se7en years, still going.

I was told it'd prevent further problems in the future, so it's probably worth it or I'd be stuck with braces again in like twenty years time =.=

If your othodontist says you have to wear them, then wear them.
I've known many friends who didn't listen to their orthodontists and their treatment was prolonged a good six months.

my mom always told me, braces = nice teeth, nice teeth = nice smile, nice smile = attraction, attraction = self confidence, and self confidence gives great life!
^^ not sure if I've said that right.

I HATE THOSE THINGS! LOL.
i never wore them to school, only at night.
but they help to get rid of the overbite..
so, unless you wanna keep your overbite, wear them.

Boo, my braces didn't make my teeth look much better, haha. They're straight, but they don't help chipping.

D*NNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGG, didn't that hurt?
okokok, i had a really bad over bite ( i would say i did)
i didn't start wearing elastics untill like 2 years into it ( i had them for like 3.5 - 4 years)
to pull my top teeth back. ( as in bothersome or a burden)
they weren't that much of a pain. I don't remember if you had to take them out when eating :S. It hurts yes, But it's worth it. BRACES ARE ALWAYS WORTH IT!
oh, and that cool little hookie thing they give you to put them on your brackets. i think mine glowed in the dark. HAHAHA
