If you're above average, then Drexel is a pretty good safety school. Some people go on to do big things graduating from Drexel, and some people go on to do.. umm.. retail. Usually that is the case for all schools, but sheesh.. some people in Drexel really makes you wonder why that school is considered good.
But don't let all of that affect you a lot. Like I said before, a lot of people go on to do some big things. Work hard and you'll go anywhere; don't work and you'll be where you deserve.

Temple is near Drexel, check out Temple too.
temple isn't really "near" drexel. they are in two completely different areas of the city. that's like saying LaSalle and CCP are 'near' each other.
anyway, drexel's reputation has been steadily increasing especially after it aquired a med school (MCP-Hahnemann), it's eMBA program rising in the ranks, and the announcement of a JD program starting up in the near future.
during undergrad, i had a friend in the Food Science program at Drexel, but i'm not sure exactly where she is today. from that field of study though, you will have a lot of career choices in industry to academia to non-profits: nutrition, chemical senses, teaching, food development, etc. Drexel's co-op program will also allow you to get hands-on experience in your field. this will not only let you know if this is indeed the career for you, it will also make you more marketable after graduation.

Yea, Temple is near the ghetto, but considering that Temple University is the 28th largest university in the US and the crime inflicted upon Temple students are marginal (if any), I'd consider going there to be safe. One of my friends (who I am so over-protective with) walks in and out of that neighborhood all the time. I wish she'd stop, but she feels totally safe.
